Affirmative astrology for challenging times

General Astrological Influences, July 2026:

By Crystal Pomeroy

Abstract digital artwork depicting a bright light at the center with concentric circles and swirling colorful patterns, evoking a galaxy or cosmic energy field inspired by astrological influences and the mysteries of July 2026.

As July starts, the prevalence of sunlight enhances growth and repair in most organisms, and encourages happiness hormones in humans. We feel like relaxing, getting in touch with our feelings, enjoying our yards and nature in general, and engaging with dear ones. Sun is in Cancer, sign of growth, of sensitivity and of intuition. In an archetypal sense, life unfolds gently. As we thus deepen our experience of emotions, home and family, we will be able to develop and express heart and soul, the terrain of Leo, the Sun sign of late July.

This July’s skies are marked by cosmic fireworks from a highly infrequent configuration, variously called a Minor Grand Triangle, Magical Trine or Talent Trine. After flirting with each other since 2025, Uranus, Neptune and Pluto interconnect in a trine and two sextiles.

Among other things, this transpersonal trio has to do with higher mind powers. Christopher Renstrom relates them to “the modern human.” Uranus, ruling innovation, brilliance, awakening, freedom and technology, was the first planet to be discovered with a telescope in 1781, and connects to the Age of Illustration and the Industrial Revolution. Neptune, ruler of mysticism, compassion, confusion and angels, was discovered in 1846, at the beginning of spiritualism, a movement that was seminal in non-dogmatic spirituality. 1849 saw the birth of the great metaphysical teacher and founder of New Thought, Emma Curtis Hopkins. As for Pluto, the godfather planet was discovered in 1930, the year that quantum mechanics became an accepted, formal theory. Around this time, the atom was first being split, disintegrated and transmuted. In 1931, Jung published his work, Modern Man in Search of a Soul, followed by Psychology and Alchemy and Symbols of Transformation, among others.

It seems that Uranus, Neptune and Pluto are all related to psychism. In The Rulership Book, author Rex E. Bills lists them as the rulers of spiritual and divine healing.

Although these powers were present long before our times, we are now seeing their globalization as part of what connects humanity. In Uranian style, people around the globe question dogmas, autocratic control and official versions. Floating along with Neptune, we see double and triple numbers, use mental and energy modes to heal, have a personal intuitive or spiritual practice, and talk about oracles and light beings. Pluto’s powers of alchemy and manifestation are no longer fringe topics. (Even astrology is coming in from the edge.) Although it seems up on the chopping block in some circles, people are awakening from their insular little boxes to a new, borderless experience of compassion. These are signs of the soul times.

The Magical Triangle doesn’t come empty handed. The signs involved, rebel Aquarius, loud-mouth Gemini and warrior Aries are all up for a fight. At important moments in history, these placements have proven to be decisively…
