In aid of this recovery, Sun, Mercury, Venus, and the New Moon, all in Scorpio, invite us to walk through the dark valleys of our inmost emotions. Although it can seem scary, to explore shadows is ultimately empowering, especially if we approach it as a conscious and bold act of love for ourselves and others.
With Mercury in shadow and retrograde, we can review things that we’ve tried to heal or solve previously. Reconnecting with our deepest issues also helps align us with November’s power of abundance. These influences include:
- A Taurus Full Moon,
- Innovative Uranus revisiting Taurus, sign of prosperity, and
- Wealthy, confident Jupiter’s aspects to outer planets, including a trine to constructive Saturn.
- Later, Mars and then prosperous Venus turn this Jupiter-Saturn trine into a Grand Trine.
- While in this trine, Saturn emerges from retrograde.
- Spreading the love, the feminine benefic triggers all the outer planets, armed with a new sense of authority, and
- Finally, on a cosmic note, Uranus the liberator perfects a sextile to mystical Neptune, awakening us to higher levels of compassion and contacts with light beings.
The Challenge to Grow
The month begins with a square between Venus, planet of desire, and abundant Jupiter that perfects on Sunday, November 2. In any aspect, the connection between the two benefics has potential for expansion of love, joy and prosperity. This square can be stressful, and we may feel pressured by wanting or needing more than we currently have. However in any case, we open our minds to greater good. Now, with disciplined Saturn in orb of a trine to Jupiter, we are willing to work for it. The important thing is not to push ourselves or others too hard or succumb to the impulse to use credit or increase debt. Money will tend begin to flow more easily toward the end of the month.
On a related note, the November 2 Venus-Jupiter square also fuels creativity and protective feelings, and we’ll be seeing defense of human rights played out in the courts.
Full Moon of Profitable Progress
This square is still in effect at the Full Moon in Taurus of Wednesday, November 5, the Snow Moon. Taurus rules prosperity. According to Dorothy Morrison in her classic Everyday Moon Magic, this is a time to finish projects, set magical goals in motion and plan “for the reinvention of your life.”
What will you be reinventing this month?
