Daily Astrological Forecast, April 1–30
Monday, April 1
This April Fools’ Day, choose your jokes carefully. With Moon in sensitive Pisces squaring Mars the warrior, people are apt to be on the defensive. In fact, it’s best to save personal interaction for after 10:30 am (1:30 pm ET), when Moon sextiles Uranus. Even then, she still favors more impersonal contacts over close ones.
With Moon in her Last Quarter, in the sign of the fish, and Mercury in post-retrograde shadow, the focus is on closure. We’re supported today to follow through on a commitment, promise, or charitable intention, finish a project, and retouch creative work with an eye to authenticity and beauty.
I do my best and leave the rest to Spirit, now and always.
Tuesday, April 2
Our minds and hearts are immersed in sensitivity, as both Mercury and Moon in receptive Pisces join ruler Neptune. Aside from attending or holding a spiritual gathering, it’s best to keep a low profile, work independently on something creative or spiritual—connect with angels and fairies, and/or focus on prayer, meditation, forgiveness and dream work.
Save arguments, negotiations, or for that matter any business or productive interaction, for after midnight, when Moon sextiles practical Saturn. Or, wait until tomorrow. If you must venture beyond your own garden, amp up your powers of discrimination and discernment and take care to avoid potentially toxic environments, activities, and company.
I am not exposed to toxic or harmful influences, I have a Divine Companion who fills my home and world with Its presence, and is always kind, beneficial, motivating, harmonious and enriching, enriching, enriching.
Wednesday, April 3
Moon in sensitive Pisces connects with powerful Pluto and Pisces’ co-ruler, expansive Jupiter, making this a good day to leave a mark in creative, altruistic, or spiritual activities, in business, or with promotion of some kind.
Waning Moon and Mercury in shadow both favor closure, urging us to follow through, redo, or work on something started before February 20.
At 7:56 pm (10:56 ET), Moon enters Aries. Ponder the intention you wish to seed at Friday’s New Moon portal, and push through resistance to get something done. Keep a journal or notebook on hand to write down the messages from tonight’s dreams.
Affirmation (repeat 6 times before going to sleep tonight):
Guardian angel, please direct me on my path of healing now.
Thursday, April 4
Moon in Aries makes wee-hour contacts to Chiron and Mars, connecting us with our path of healing and strengthening our courage.
These influences can empower us to set a limit, go to therapy, consult a coach, and release an attitude, pattern, or situation that’s blocking our healing. For instance, think about what you want to intend and visualize at tomorrow’s New Moon portal, take a hard look at your visualization practice and materials, and discard whatever no longer attracts you. Then, procure images, a glue stick, and colored paper or poster board to make a vision board tomorrow or sometime during the weekend.
Resist the temptation to push others into doing what you want them to do, or you feel they should do.
I master my imagination, and the way for right action opens now.
Friday, April 5
The week ends with a burst of energy, as the Moon becomes New at 1:50 am (4:50 ET). The Sabian symbol for 15-16 Aries says:
NATURE SPIRITS ARE SEEN AT WORK IN THE LIGHT OF SUNSET. Attunement to the potency of invisible forces of nature… the possibility of approaching life in a non-rational, intuitive manner… a call to REPOTENTIALIZATION… the process of becoming “like a child”.
Squares to constructive Saturn and transformative Pluto, both in productive Capricorn, indicate that this Moon calls us to build for self-reliance through inner healing and outer work.
It’s not an easy lunation, nor is diplomacy its strong point. Leave key encounters and communications (except for therapeutic activities) for another day. Identify how you would like to strengthen your inner child, as well as your inner adult, and organize to move on your intentions tomorrow and the next day.
Inspired by Jan Spiller’s New Moon Astrology, I suggest the following intentions/affirmations for this portal’s energies and aspects.
I want to find myself acting on my constructive inner impulses.
I see myself recognizing my own true essence and being respected for it.
My intention is to love myself and be free of the fixation for the approval of others.
I want to see myself being authentic and honest in kind, non-blaming ways.
I want to retrieve my connection with my inner self, and relate to others from that center. I envision myself using apparent setbacks as a means to discover and grow.
I want to find myself competing and winning in a healthy, non-abrasive way.
I want to find myself taking the reins of my own life and beliefs.
I envision myself being in the habit of self-reliance.
I imagine myself advancing with strength and boldness in (name matter or situation).
After a day that’s apt to be tense, Moon goes VOC at 7:15 pm (10:15 ET), on a trine to fun Jupiter. Watch a humorous movie or program, play table games, order out ethnic food.
Saturday, April 6
We’re still in the New Moon portal, and today is better than yesterday for all kinds of action and people connections.
At 6:06 am (9:06 ET), Moon enters Taurus—sign of her exaltation—and gets things moving as she joins exciting Uranus a few hours later. Today’s numerology of 6 adds a touch of gold dust and charm to interactions for business and socializing, while Mercury’s building sextile to Saturn promises lasting results from our communications and contacts.
The sky supports us in redoing something relating to business, social activities, or family, to get it how we really want it—an investment, bank account, business or real estate transaction, stock portfolio, or relationships with employees. We might knock on a door we’d approached before. Or, edit or review a proposal, promotion or anything written. Or we might choose to work on self-esteem, reconnect with a coach, or remodel or redecorate home or another property. We might even venture to renew an old flame, or rekindle a spark with the one we have.
Visiting with family can also be pleasant; we can use the constructive energies to review plans for a shared project or intention.
The Universe supports my abundance. I perceive it, I believe it and I receive it now.
Sunday, April 7
Today is creative, romantic, and if we choose to apply it that way, quite productive.
Still in the portal of Friday’s New Moon, Mercury’s sextile to Saturn perfects before dawn, while Moon in abundant Taurus makes three harmonies: to ruler Venus, dreamy Neptune, and Saturn the manifester.
It all makes for a magical day, and not one we want to waste.
Morning and afternoon are spectacular for generating art or music, or enjoying a love object at a garden brunch followed by a concert or art exhibit or a sensuous frolic in the grass (prepare the garter belt).
Evening, and for that matter the entire day, is also great for people connections, particularly for business, matters of property, or a shared altruistic, home-oriented or creative project.
In the One Mind, I’m already connected to the perfect people for our shared joy, success and service to the universe. I know them in the invisible, and they appear visibly, here and now.
Monday, April 8
Start the week boldly, as morning and early afternoon are filled with gold dust. Today’s numerology of 8, related to success, promotion and power, triggers the productive potential of Moon in prosperous Taurus. Moon also trines Pluto, planet of change, and connects with expansive Jupiter.
These influences support us in moving on a long-term goal related to business, finances, promotion, art or anything productive, and in seeking out a key contact with whom we’d tried to initiate contact sometime before February 20.
We should try to get this effort done before 2:15 pm (5:15 ET), when Moon enters Gemini. Communications still go well after that, although an evening sextile to asteroid Chiron shifts the focus to therapy, journaling, creative writing, and other things related to healing.
Intuitively guided, I advance on my path of power now.
Tuesday, April 9
A conjunction from Venus the beautifier to sensitive Neptune opens a portal for creativity, romance and divine love. Moon in Gemini puts our focus on communication.
We will feel supported in writing or editing a text, proposal or promotion, meditating, or making a treasure map or dream board—particularly for love life or creative success. Review your plans for a trip, vacation or spiritual retreat.
Angels of kindness, please touch my heart and turn on my power of compassion now.
Wednesday, April 10
On this highly creative day, we should provoke a pause to define and develop independent ideas and plans.
Yesterday’s conjunction from artistic Venus to imaginative Neptune in dreamy Pisces is still in force, while a wee-hour square from Sun to Saturn piles on the pressure to build something tangible. This square can also generate stress and guilt-trips, so plan a trip to the therapist, or steer clear of potentially difficult connections.
Today’s numerology of 1 fuels our pioneering spirit, and Jupiter’s station-to-retrograde reignites our inner guidance system. We can analyze dreams, scan for synchronicities, and consult our intuition and/or favorite oracle—particularly for guidance in relation to changing, retouching or modifying our course. Begin to implement the direction you receive.
Take a long break to read, journal, repeat affirmations or mantras, do crossword puzzles, and enjoy nature from 10:27 am (1:27 pm ET), when Moon goes VOC in Gemini, entering creative Cancer at 8:31 pm (11:31 pm ET).
After this, we can use Mercury’s sextile to deep Pluto to give or receive healing, and apply both reason and intuition to research, or selling something.
I am not lacking for direction; a light within is guiding me, now and always.
Thursday, April 11
Moon in Cancer accents our compassion and intuition, favoring meditation on forgiveness, such as the Buddhist practice of metta, or compassion. Using these Cancerian energies, we can renew a course of metaphysical or divinatory studies, bless our personal space, home, and planet, declutter the kitchen or bedroom, renew wedding vows, or pursue an activity related to real-estate.
Cancer also favors business, and a nighttime square from Mercury to Jupiter can help us tweak or renew a promotional campaign or communication in order to sell something or motivate others.
Within my soul, there’s a river of love, and I let it flow for myself and all life now.
Friday, April 12
As the day begins, make space to fall in love with your dreams. Moon in fertile Cancer trines both inspired Neptune and charming Venus. Think about, write down and visualize what you want to experience spiritually and in other ways. Put passion into it.
Just after 8am (11am ET), worker Saturn receives contacts from both Moon and Venus. We are called to actively build on our dreams, particularly for relationships, values and finances.
At 12:06 pm (3:06 ET), Moon reaches First Quarter, inviting us to review and tweak our progress on intentions set at last week’s New Moon. The next couple of hours favor independent work on inner change or healing.
At 22-23 Cancer, the Sabian symbol says:
A GROUP OF INTELLECTUAL INDIVIDUALS MEETING FOR DISCUSSION. Interchange of ideas among any elite as a basis for the cultural development of the whole. Mental or physical fellowship.
Moon connects with Jupiter at 3:07 pm (6:07 ET), followed by a trine from Neptune. These are both angel planets, and will help us connect with light beings and achieve success and joy in our interactions with people, too.
Divine love is working to lift me up to the highest and best connections now.
Saturday, April 13
With Moon in diva-sign Leo, and Leo’s ruler Sun in square to demanding Pluto, today is not so great for business or PR but does favor independent, creative activities, therapy, or a session with a spiritual healer or coach.
The airwaves harmonize somewhat this evening, when Moon sextiles assertive Mars, favoring a trip to the gym, a soak in the Jacuzzi, hot tub, or springs, dinner at a new restaurant, or bold action in favor of a cause or artistic endeavor.
I invoke the spiritual warrior forces to move me with enthusiasm now.
Sunday, April 14
This is an exciting day for healing, productivity, and intimate encounters. A trine from ruler Sun to expansive Jupiter feeds our spirit of adventure and lends a streak of good fortune to anything we wish to work on, from a social or ecological cause to a business, publicity or creative endeavors. Also, an afternoon sextile from social Venus to powerful Pluto leads to transformative interaction, self-healing, and positive outcomes in love and money.
Moon in Leo wants fun, but its contacts are on the tense side, and call for an extra dose of tact in our dealings. We can go with the flow and use the day for fun (with care to avoid unnecessary social friction), or apply it meaningful exchanges or work.
The excitement chills at 6:38 pm (9:38 ET), when moon goes VOC. Relax at home with a good movie and popcorn. Keep your journal or a notebook on hand so you can write down your dreams when you wake up tomorrow.
I am an agent of universal good, and I walk my path of power, here and now.
Monday, April 15
Moon enters Virgo at 3:14 am (6:14 ET).
Her morning connections to Chiron and Uranus are great for expanding awareness. We can interpret last night’s dreams, review our work communications, push to complete a project, get caught up on something we want to study, or work on healing, writing or anything requiring special smarts.
An afternoon square from loving Venus to generous Jupiter stimulates altruism, affection, compassion and vision, but may cloud our judgment in matters of the heart.
Avoid over-spending. Affirm for and visualize financial success.
There can be no lack in my world, because my world is filled with a Presence that loves and enriches me, now and always.
Tuesday, April 16
This morning: visualize, meditate, analyze dreams, contact light-beings… we can use Moon’s opposition to Neptune to stretch our minds and spirits.
After that, it’s time to put our feet on the ground and get moving, in sync with Moon’s empowering trines to Saturn the builder and Pluto the transformer, both in efficient Capricorn. Our actions now can support manifestation in service, work and financial gain.
An evening square from Moon to Jupiter favors reaching out to others in a spirit of love, whether to help them or for practical collaboration.
My clear intent directs me on the best and highest path to success, now and always.
Wednesday, April 17
Moon is VOC in Virgo until 4:22 am (7:22 ET), when she enters diplomatic Libra and makes tense contacts to Mercury and Uranus, planets of higher and lower mind, along with Chiron, the wounded healer. This combination brings out Libra’s talents, but also its feisty side—particularly with the Mercury, the messenger planet, entering restless Aries.
Mercury also emerges from shadow, finally, so we can at last successfully begin something new. This is a great time to focus on independent efforts to get a legal or bureaucratic situations in order, to research opposing sides of an argument, or to beautify home, yard or work. Or, work on healing our relationship patterns.
After around 12:00 pm (3:00 ET), the waters smooth, and we can expect good results from negotiation, PR, and team efforts, or with financial tasks like settling a will, balancing bank statements, or planning a court appearance.
I release others from hard thoughts, and trust divine justice to adjust all my situations now.
Thursday, April 18
With Moon connecting with Neptune, this morning is great for creative work, psychic readings, and invoking the angels to support our relationships. After that, her squares to executive Saturn and demanding Pluto help us get organized and structure something related to business or another tangible goal.
Connections with others may be on the tense side until after 8:07 pm (11:07 ET), when Moon makes a lovely sextile to noble Jupiter in Sagittarius, the sign of its rule. After this, joy, good faith, and magic fill our connections with others. This is a great time to fine-tune festive Easter plans, dye eggs, buy treats, and make holiday decorations.
Angels of harmony, please guide me to give my best to myself and others now.
Friday, April 19
Early this morning, at 4:12 am (7:12 ET), Moon becomes full in Libra, and exactly at fullness goes VOC until 5:41 am (8:41 ET), when she enters Scorpio. In the chart for the Full Moon, she connects with Venus and Jupiter, the lesser and greater benefics, giving us a welcome dose of harmony and dissolving blocks in relationships and finances.
The Sabian symbol for 29-30 Libra says:
A PHRENOLOGIST DISCOVERS MOUNDS OF KNOWLEDGE ON A HEAD. Ability to read spiritual meanings in concrete objects. Objectifications of abstract truths. Cleverness in understanding.
Throughout the morning and early afternoon, Moon in intense Scorpio makes stressful aspects and accents the intensity of today’s portal. Focus on independent research or inner work to heal yourself and others.
If you wish to do a Full Moon ritual, it’s best to do it either in the wee hours before Moon is full, in late afternoon or evening, or tomorrow from midday on.
Tonight, Mercury joins wounded-healer Chiron, creating the perfect juncture to journal, go to therapy, and use affirmations and mantras for healing. Avoid ego conflicts and unnecessary fights.
Angels of healing, please use me a channel of wellness now.
Saturday, April 20
We get two major shifts: Sun enters grounded Taurus, at 1:55 am (4:55 ET), and Taurus’ ruler, Venus, enters restless Aries at 9:11 am (12:11 ET). This morning, take some time to enjoy nature or your own company and ponderings, but avoid brooding over a perceived hurt.
At 11:39 am (2:39 pm ET), Moon in Scorpio begins a series of harmonies that accent its creative, productive potential. Consult a psychic, the angels, or a favorite oracle. Apply courage to face a crisis or solve a problem, or to set a long-term goal in motion. Sign documents or negotiate a lease, rental, or a major deal.
At 9:00 pm (12:00 am ET), Moon goes VOC on a sextile to Pluto. Enjoy an intimate encounter.
Angels of courage, please direct my thoughts and actions for tangible progress now.
Sunday, April 21
With Moon VOC in Scorpio, we can effectively use early morning for healing, spiritual and dream work. At 8:59 am (12:59 pm), Moon enters Sagittarius, with aspects that favor socializing, enjoying an outdoors brunch party or Full Moon ritual, or going on trip or an ecological adventure.
If you have something practical to accomplish, the stars also favor study, correspondence, data retrieval, ecological initiatives, lending or borrowing money, and anything requiring diplomacy.
I invite the Divine Mind to rise up through me now.
Monday, April 22
Moon in Sagittarius gives us an early window to connect with friends, colleagues or clients, to give or take a class, and to work on publicity or for that matter, anything requiring diplomacy.
At 11:35 am (2:35 pm), Moon’s social charms are compromised by an opposition to warrior-planet Mars. Also, Sun makes its yearly conjunction to Uranus. Our genius flowers, and with it, a need to take a stand for what makes us different. We can reconnect with an ideal, start consulting a coach, work on something creative, do armchair activism, give a love-offering or go out of our way to support a cause.
However, steer clear of confrontational stances and situations, since the two latter aspects can make fights escalate fast and furiously.
At 5:03 pm, Moon squares co-ruler Neptune, favoring an evening of promotion, romance (including meeting someone new), enjoying a concert, and contacting light beings.
Angels of the Earth, please direct me to serve the planet in the best and highest way now.
Tuesday, April 23
With Moon in abundant Sagittarius joining Sagittarius’ ruler, Jupiter, this morning is great for connecting with others, and teaching, starting or promoting something. Adding to this fortunate mix, Venus joins Chiron, favoring forgiveness, self-esteem work, and healing our relationship with money.
At 3:50 pm (6:50 ET), Moon enters practical Capricorn, trining Uranus, planet of freedom. Take the reins of your life and goals. Make an extra push to take practical steps on an independent goal: ask for a promotion or some kind of support, set limits, and give yourself permission to release distractions.
I ask for what I need and I’m open to the good that flows to me now.
Wednesday, April 24
Pluto the powerful turns retrograde, beginning a period of inner healing, and self-transformation and empowerment that lasts through early October.
Today, Moon in focused Capricorn favors setting and writing down our goals in these areas. What healing work can we reaffirm? Check our General Influences section for additional tips for your Sun and rising signs during this important transit.
As for mundane activities, Moon in executive Capricorn makes tense transits that aren’t so great for PR or cooperation but do favor organizing papers, investments, finances, or another area of our life or space that requires greater order.
My success is under spiritual law, so it manifests in perfect order now.
Thursday, April 25
This morning is one of the week’s high points for independent progress. Moon in constructive Capricorn makes an early sextile to sensitive Neptune. Analyze last night’s dreams; work to get a clear image of success, and visualize it.
Moon also makes a morning conjunction to ruler Saturn—an apparently dry, cold aspect that can lead to guilt trips, but also imbues us with diligence, persistence and discipline. Get to work on responsibilities, business, a career goal, or anything requiring logic or rationality; move on a task that had seemed overwhelming.
Move before 12:48 pm (3:48 ET), when Moon goes VOC for the rest of the day. Journal about feelings, contact an elder or teacher to express thanks, or simply to help her or him. Enjoy a sensual meal.
My gratitude generates joy and prosperity for me and others now.
Friday, April 26
Moon enters freedom-fighter Aquarius at 2:27 am (5:27 ET), and moves to square Aquarius’ ruler, genius-planet Uranus. Make a list of your unique gifts and preferences, and take whatever step you can on something that expresses your life mission. Research an alternative version of accepted truths, go to a science fair, brunch with an eccentric friend.
At 3:18 pm (6:19 pm ET), Moon reaches her Last Quarter. Review progress on intentions set at the New Moon three weeks ago, and figure out how to finish something related to them. At 6-7 Aquarius, Moon triggers this Sabian symbol:
A CHILD IS SEEN BEING BORN OUT OF AN EGG. The emergence of new mutations according to the great rhythms of the cosmos… Here we see… a new type of human being who is not born from “Ancestors” and who therefore is free from the inertia of humankind’s past. She is a new product of evolution, a mutant. She constitutes a fresh projection of the creative Spirit that emanates from the cosmic or planetary Whole, and not from and local culture and racial tradition. The power of the whole… in perfect freedom from ancient standards…
This evening, a sextile from Moon in friendly Aquarius to Venus in vital Aries is great for people connections. Use it for business, a group activity, romance, or do something especially fun. With Mars approaching a square to Neptune, be discriminating about the company you keep and places you go; avoid speeding on the road or driving under the influence.
I am a child of the divine, and as I recognize my true origin, I am freed from the beliefs and choices of my ancestors. My awareness cannot be limited, my power cannot be limited, my existence cannot be limited.
Saturday, April 27
Our intuition flows, and we are called to act.
Mars in busy Gemini squares psychic Neptune, calling us to exercise unusual caution in things related to water, driving, agreements and unfamiliar males. On the upside, this aspect helps us access angelic guidance for our chosen course of action, a grace multiplied by Moon’s harmonies to Mercury in dynamic Aries and ruler Mars.
Work on art or another inspiration; consult an oracle, medium or the angels. Don’t discuss the guidance received, but do act on it in whatever way you can.
Spirit sends angels to guide my way, and I’m mindful of their guidance now.
Sunday, April 28
Moon goes VOC before dawn on a sextile to happy Jupiter. We can enjoy nature, study a language, invoke the angels, and share a meal with friends.
At 3:11 pm (5:11 ET), Moon enters sensitive Pisces and moves to sextile inspired Uranus. Now the aspects favor sharing creative or spiritual ideas, taking in an art movie or exhibit, going on a shamanic journey, attending a spiritual group or gathering, getting caught up on tweets or emails, practicing forgiveness, reviewing visualization materials and making a list of images to acquire for an upcoming vision board (that can be put together next Saturday, at April’s New Moon in prosperous Taurus).
I release the doubts of others and hold to my vision of abundance, now and always.
Monday, April 29
Saturn stations to retrograde in Capricorn, the sign of its rule. From now through mid-September, we will tend to doubt outer direction and seek the voice of our inner teacher. Review your natal house and planets connected to 20 degrees Capricorn to confirm the areas in which you can retrieve wisdom, discipline, persistence and self-sufficiency. This transit also helps us apply ourselves in daily, constructive efforts on retrograde Pluto’s mission of healing and empowerment.
As for mundane activities, Moon in intuitive Pisces sextiles Uranus in fertile Taurus, facilitating forgiveness, progress in something requiring imagination, writing a proposal, agreement or contract, designing a house or media production, cleaning out closets, repairing equipment, and sending out tweets or emails.
I call on the Invisible College to help me apply and enrich my wisdom now.
Tuesday, April 30
The stars help us wrap up the month by decluttering our papers and pushing ourselves to follow up on calls and connections.
Moon in visionary Pisces makes sextiles to Saturn the builder and Pluto the powerful in executive Capricorn. As we follow up, finish what we began, and tie up loose ends, things fall into place.
Moon’s square to Jupiter favors contacts with spirit guides, and—along with a sextile from merchant Mercury to salesman Mars—efforts to promote our ideas, services and products, to close a deal and to get the word out.
Spirit has marked me for success, and the Universe responds by opening my path, now and always.
