Affirmative astrology for challenging times

General Astrological Influences, November 2018: Retrieve Your Light Path

By Crystal Pomeroy

With Mercury, Venus, Jupiter and Sun all exiting Scorpio, sign of shadows, and waves of liberation coming from angel planets Jupiter and Neptune, in November we can take back the reigns of our spiritual path and lift ourselves into healing.

Jupiter brings things into view, Mercury analyzes and discusses them, Venus spotlights values, relationships and—especially during her retrograde—self-esteem, and Sun rules purpose and self-determination.

Last month, their convergence in Scorpio brought our experience of shadows to a sort of head. The Kavanaugh appointment, taking place in the Jupiterian arena of the courts, displayed the pain of dirty secrets (ruled by Scorpio) and the greater pain of their continued denial by the dark control system (ruled by Scorpio, whose ruling planet, Pluto, is currently in Capricorn, sign of patriarchy).

Yet this display did ultimately contribute to empowerment (Scorpio’s positive domain), by giving voice to the victims of patriarchy, in particular women (represented by Venus) and their needs, rights, and force. As a result of the publicity (generated by Jupiter and Mercury) around the hearings, these concerns have now moved beyond the confines of a supposedly small, radical feminist minority. A look at print and electronic media before, during and after the appointment reveals a significant change in tone and popularity of references to women’s issues.

On an individual scale, these same energies were working to bring out our personal secret pain and power. Just as the outcome of the Kavanaugh process—despite its indirect benefits in popular mentality—is frustrating, our personal experience was apt to have been intense but not satisfactory.

It’s like we recognize we’re standing in thick mud but aren’t quite able to unstick our feet. As soon as the month begins, we’ll…. Get the rest of the month now! Become a Premium Subscriber! Or, if you are already a Premium Subscriber, log in here.
