After several intense months, the stars of July offer some comfort. There are some major shifts, but most of them are of a subtle nature, supportive of long-term, inner change. We can heal, receive guidance from dreams, strengthen our intuition and our sense of self-worth, and reclaim our heart radiance.
Like crabs on a summer beach, during Cancer season we feel supported. We can relax, look at our feelings, release the pressures of the big, hard world and get in touch with our soul. Later in the month, when Sun shifts to Leo, we can build our heart power and confidence.
Several retrogrades support inner processes—soulful Neptune, bad-ass Pluto, goddess Venus, and healing Chiron. For the first time in 18 years, the North and South Nodes will switch into Aries and Libra, favoring balance between independence and cooperation, love of self and others. A Full Moon in Capricorn on July 3 helps us strengthen the structures that support our more sensitive, Cancerian processes, while a New Moon in Cancer supports our intentions for emotional wellness, intuition, and security. We have spaces for healing, and Venus in shadow and retrograde undergirds all our processes with a theme of self-love.
The month starts with a newly retrograde Neptune. In contrast to its colleagues of the solar system, when going backward, the planet of psychism struts his stuff. Our intuitive circuits are buzzing, and with them dream guidance, connections with light beings and cosmic perception. Neptune is nearing an exact sextile to powerful Pluto, also in retrograde. As the month moves forward, the aspect gets slowly closer, making all of July an opportunity for evolving our spiritual powers. A course, a book, a challenge we solve through spiritual means, a retreat we go on or give ourselves, an apparently chance encounter, time we schedule to attend our inner world… Apparently simple ways of fueling our divine awareness can precipitate a major upgrade.
