Daily Astrological Forecast, October 1–2, 2026
We can start something related to communications, creativity, compassion or romance.
With feisty Mars about to oppose godfather Pluto, followed by Mercury’s upcoming entrance in pre-retrograde shadow, this is the best day to start something new during all of October.
Moon in loquacious Gemini spotlights communications, commerce, and self-expression. The assertive numerology of 1 is ruled by bold Mars, strengthening initiative and favoring audacious action.
At 12 am (3 am ET) Moon trines Sun. In sociable Gemini and Libra, this is a great aspect for messaging, sending mails and all kinds of connections.
With hot Mars in trine to dreamy Neptune, romance is in the air. This aspect favors inspired action and mingles with Moon in Gemini to spotlight creative and intuitive actions. Outcomes may be unclear, so before stepping out it’s wise to apply both intuition and rational reflection. Take special care when driving in fog or on wet or slippery roads.
Morning is great for reaching out in practical ways—for business, to build something, or to garner the support of an elder or authority figure. With Mercury moving into a T-square with pushy Mars and intense Pluto, we want to avoid feisty tacos and go heavy on diplomat sauce.
At 7:42 pm (10:42 ET) Moon goes VOC on a sextile to Jupiter, not great for consolidated results, but pleasant, inspiring and favorable for education and connecting with others’ emotions.
Affirmation:
I give thanks for the guidance that appears right when I need it, now and always.
Friday, October 2
We can declutter, set a limit, or prepare an argument, case or negotiation. Or use our words to heal.
This morning, Moon is in verbal Gemini. However, with ruler Mercury making a T-square to bellicose Mars and powerhouse Pluto and a quincunx to imaginative Neptune, contacts with others may be tense. Our mental powers are sharpened and we can make a life-changing decision, see what’s going on beneath the surface or find the strength to end something. However, with heavies Mars and Pluto involved, it’s best to avoid direct conflict and in general save key connections for another day. All this strong Mercury energy is also great for decluttering papers, files, messages, our inbox or bookshelves. We finally have the nerve to throw things away.
Mars’ attributes are further accented as he perfects a trine to magical Neptune, which the red planet also happens to rule. This sexy, inspiring harmony fuels creativity, empathy and motivation. We can make a vision board, organize to move on our dreams, or consult our intuition or angels for goal-guidance.
Moon is VOC in Gemini until 12:54 pm (3:54 ET), when she enters intuitive Cancer.
Intuition and creativity are strong but there can also be confusion, deception or drama as at 5:38 pm (8:38 ET), Moon squares Neptune, followed 30 minutes later by a quincunx to Pluto.
Communications are somewhat easier after 6:36 pm (9:36 ET), Moon trines Mercury the messenger. Empathy, compassion and tenderness are particularly strong. We can reach out to family or to a group or person we are naturally close to, as things may be a bit tenser in the days ahead.
Affirmation:
With their pink light, the angels of harmony fill our space. They soften and neutralize any discord, here and now.
