- A sign change for Uranus, from solid Taurus to facile Gemini,
- Neptune and Saturn’s turn to go retrograde and, most strikingly,
- The tightening of a rare and powerful minor grand trine between outer planets—with Uranus and Pluto in trine, and Neptune-Saturn at the apex in sextile to both.
In all of these shifts, revolutionary Uranus opens a long-stuck door to for us to move into a more participatory role in the major ongoing evolutionary currents. In mental Gemini, the rebel planet can more easily pursue his mission to innovate. It’s his harmony to Pluto that gives a radically dynamic spin to the outer planets’ minor grand trine, and this transformative aspect will last all this year and into the next.
Since mid-May of 2018, disruptive Uranus has been in stubbornly stable Taurus. The bull loves security, which the pandemic turned upside down, forever altering our ideas of “normal.” Then the current U.S. administration blasted in, unleashing a wave of erratic dealings, including masked, renegade thugs and greater support for the billionaire takeover. It feels like we got off a wild roller coaster that we hadn’t signed up for, and as we stretched out, breathed deep, and made our way out of the fairgrounds, we were suddenly swept up, thrown on a cart and sent on a ride through The House of Endless Horrors. Not that Uranus in Taurus has been all bad. It saw positive growth, like crypto currency, expanded AI, expanded territories, and internet commerce. But the shake-ups have been intense.
As of Monday, July 7, we can breathe a collective sigh of relief. And breath it is, as the ruler of air sign Aquarius enters also airy, mental Gemini. Not that things will settle down. Any shift involving Uranus brings excitement. But the genius planet can now proceed with its novel antics without shaking the earth from under us, although we may feel caught in a whirlwind of information, technology, and mental activity—both external and internal/intuitive.
