June is an important month. Pluto in Aquarius has us on a new evolutionary path, and June’s intense transits and alignments in Gemini, sign of words, and in Cancer, sign of souls, help us ground this energy into our personal sphere: thoughts, connections, self-expression, emotions and growth. We can retrieve our voice of power and activate our soul network.
It will be exciting, but not particularly easy. Strict Saturn and inexorable Pluto have strong presences. Through transits and as ruler of the Solstice Full Moon, Saturn combines with the presence of Pluto, planet of involuntarily alchemy, to remind us that good things come at a price, which is the inner and outer work called for by these orbs.
There are moments of stress, and of great support. In fact, June begins with a trine from Jupiter, planet of confidence and abundance, to Pluto the mighty. Pluto brings change and Jupiter freedom, so we can find release from loads we’ve been carrying. And, we get an exceptional boost to move ahead unhindered, like one of those drum roller vehicles used in construction to flatten and smooth roads.
With Jupiter in Gemini, sign of connection, and Pluto in friendly Aquarius, the progress isn’t isolated, but relates to people and information. When Pluto entered Aquarius in January, the small dark planet set us on a mission of freedom. As the year progresses and the Sun moves through the signs of the zodiac, we have a chance to assimilate these transpersonal energies in personal ways. Gemini and Cancer are the last of the personal signs. This trine from Jupiter to Pluto supports us to shed mental, verbal, and communication patterns that don’t resonate with our evolutionary direction. As our way of thinking, speaking and connecting evolves, we can release familiar interactions and open to the network that supports our path of change.
It’s wise to choose our interactions mindfully, as they can be deeply supportive of our evolution and positive change, or they can be—like Gemini’s petty twin—trivial and distracting. We don’t have to sit around waiting for opportunities to appear: bold Mars is in Aries, sign of his domicile, where he coaches to go for what we want and need. Action is quick, enthusiastic and courageous.
We want to use this placement, which accompanies the Jupiter-Pluto trine, before Thursday, June 6, when Venus will be in orb of her square to ponderous Saturn, followed by Mars’ ingress into Taurus on Sunday, June 9, sign of his detriment, where he’ll tend to slow us down for the rest of the month.
Whether easy or stressful, communications are the theme of the first half of June. Jupiter forms part of a stellium involving Sun, Venus and (from Monday, June 3) Mercury in Gemini. Mercury in the air sign of its rule disposits this lineup.
On Tuesday, June 4, the messenger planet follows….
