Astrological Influences April 2024: Reclaim Your Airstrip and Fly

We can’t talk about April without considering Pluto. Since Pluto entered Aquarius at the beginning of the year, nothing is quite the same. Something inside moves us to go all-out for freedom. It’s an evolutionary impulse, a collective invitation that each of us translates in April to our own unique experience.

It’s exciting, and yet there are also forces that seem to hold us back. They include ingrained behaviors and insidious programs absorbed from our childhoods and from the collective mindset. The Libra Eclipse of March 25 triggered a look at some of these programs, particularly in relationships and ways of interacting that can seem to lock us in draining cycles.

As April begins, we’re still lingering on the portal of that lunation, approaching a total Eclipse in Aries on April 8, and, a little further down April’s road, other intense transits that help us follow through on the breakthroughs we’ve begun, and aid in reclaiming our identity and reorganizing for effective action. We can prepare within and without for the blessed convergence of Mars, Jupiter and Uranus that make late April a time of surprising success and renewal.

And we can look to the past as well as to the future. Throughout April, Mercury is retrograde and in shadow: the wounds we are healing and the success we are retrieving are related to past wounds and past successes.

As the month starts, Venus is unfolding her magic in transits to outer planets that deepen our love radiation and embolden us to renew our relational and financial horizons.
