This Full Moon reminds of our power to take initiatives to promote our own points of view, to further those causes that concern us. We are not victims of powers larger than ourselves; we are co-creators of all that takes place in our world. However, fulfilling this destiny requires going beyond the habitual passivity of centering our daily lives around the inertia of physical requirements.

Maya has spoken to the Neptunian illusions that may prevail now, the need to ground our dreams. One common Neptunian tendency during this New Age is to float along with the message of hope about the good being greater than any appearance, without assuming the responsibility to ground that good.

Our prayers at this wonderful October Full Moon culminate the energy for Divine Justice offered by the Libra New Moon cycle it began with. Let’s not only bask under its glow, but move with its power for initiative—to ground and manifest the balancing energy that is offered us from the higher sphere. If you didn’t already do so with our New Moon prayers, ask yourself now: Are you stressed out about some apparently unjust situation in your life or that of a loved one? Are you concerned about apparent injustice in the world? Now is the time to take initiative to put our co-creational powers into action, to put our metaphysical knowledge to use by moving into a level of existence where each day becomes an act of power to create the personal and collective worlds we have been wishing for.

This lunar portal provides a platform to moonbeam up to an awareness of justice rooted in a Higher Power. It is left to each of us to get on the launching pad, by assuming those initiatives in consciousness which consolidate our creative use of imagination and faith as an active, central element of our daily lives. What we build in our awareness cannot be taken from us.

As I stressed at the New Moon, current world events remind us of our obligation to share the privilege of effective prayer knowledge not only to bless ourselves personally but also to "heal and work miracles" that we see the need for in the world around us. In addition to whatever financial or other volunteer help we may currently offer to spiritual and humanitarian causes, I propose that we all develop the habit of including a prayer donation in our daily practice. The affirmations below include some of the most pressing issues of immediate planetary concern: peace in general, Iraq, and the imminent threat to the remaining marine mammal population posed by the Navy’s proposed marine sonar system.

You may choose to use, adapt and/or expand on them in your own daily sacred moments. Your prayer donation may be just the decisive one towards the critical yes-mass of love and faith which can make an amazing difference. Daily prayer donations also further our own higher ends for this brief terrestrial visit we call life. Suspending our personal concerns for a few minutes each day to apply our most valuable personal resource, applied, prayerful concentration, to issues affecting apparently endangered groups, races and species, will contribute to the most lasting of all forms of abundance: the prosperity of our souls.

Prayers for the October Full Moon

1. List those areas of your good which you feel have been affected by unjust actions of others, or simply by life’s vicissitudes.

2. Based on what arises, adapt the following prayer to suit your needs, and affirm it throughout the remainder of the current Moon Cycle (until the next New Moon):

I release any idea that there is any power other than Spirit’s power to determine the outcome of any situation in my life. No occurrence or influence of the present or the past can interrupt the full expression of my divinely designated success, happiness and protection now.

3. Balance the flow of good in yourself and in the world by making a prayer donation for peace and ecology. At this Full Moon, we have included an affirmation for the apparently very pressing issue to save sea mammals—and in consequence the entire sea—from the vastly devastating effects of a Navy sonar system being pushed through by the current administration, which would like to initiate it this November 1. Through affirmative prayer donations, done by each of us individually or in small groups throughout the world, we can make of this Full Moon window at Samhain a time of transition to a higher frequency of protection and life throughout the planet.

"Divine good is present in the hearts and criteria of those who can influence or take part to stop any destructive action against marine mammals, or against any other apparently endangered species. Christ in such influential individuals is stirring them, mobilizing them and will not let them rest until they express the divine will which impedes and neutralizes any harm to the flora and fauna of the seas or of the earth. By our faith we know that Spirit is working in this situation, so that we declare that we have already received news full of goodness, love and justice for our beloved sibling creatures of all the world’s ecosystems."

By our faith we know that Spirit is working in this situation, so that we declare that we have already received news full of goodness, love and justice for our beloved siblings in Iraq and all other areas of the world apparently in need."
