Well, this is one for the books! On March 22, 2026, Dayton Webber of La Plata, Maryland, a quadriplegic amputee and a professional cornhole player, shot and killed his friend Bradrick Wells with a revolver while driving his Tesla, with Wells in the passenger seat and two other friends in the back. The shooting stemmed from a heated argument between the two men, with Webber accusing Wells of having stolen something from his house. After the shooting, Webber asked his remaining passengers to help him dispose of the body, but they refused and fled the scene on foot, alerting police. Wells’ body was recovered from the yard of a private residence some twenty miles away, in Charlotte Hall, Maryland; Webber himself was arrested in Charlottesville, Virginia.
Webber lost his limbs at 10 months old, as a result of a near-fatal bacterial infection, and has proved remarkably resilient to his handicap. An author and motivational speaker, he taught himself to write with his stumps, became a professional cornhole player of recognized standing (eschewing prosthetics, he brought together both arm stumps to secure the beanbag projectiles launched at holes in an angled board), and an accomplished target shooter. Webber has been charged with first-degree murder, second-degree murder, first-degree assault, second-degree assault and using a firearm in a violent crime; his legal team is claiming self-defense.
Born 23 June 1998 (no time available), Dayton Webber’s physical struggles are illustrated by TNO Sedna 90377 at 15 Taurus, semisquare the 2 Cancer Sun. Sedna, named for an Inuit goddess of the ocean, has a complex, multilayered mythology, but one of the dominant themes is resilience. Deceived by a malefic bird spirit she was forced to marry, Sedna is recued by her father in a boat, but when the spirit stirs up a storm to drown them, dad throws Sedna off the boat to propitiate the angry spirit and save himself. Clinging to the sides for dear life, her father chops off Sedna’s fingers, and she sinks to the bottom of the Arctic, where her severed digits become the life-giving fauna (seals, walruses and whales) that feed the Inuit, and she is transformed into a deity.
Note the connection with severed limbs, so critical to Dayton Webber’s story; Sedna’s semisquare to the Sun makes his amputations self-defining. Not content with this oblique connection, the cosmos provides a more practical designation in the form of asteroid Quadri 10200 (for quadriplegic, someone with all four limbs removed or disabled in some fashion), conjunct Sedna from 13 Taurus, and also semisquare the self-defining Sun.
Saturn at 1 Taurus in sextile to the Sun provides more opportunities for turning deprivation into career success (both Saturn-ruled), but it is Saturn’s square to asteroid Korn 17368 at 25 Cancer which doubtless channeled Webber’s career instincts into performing on the pro cornhole circuit (Korn, phonetic match for “corn”).
Mars at 21 Gemini squares asteroid Weber 4152 (alternate spelling) with Jupiter, at 22 and 27 Pisces. Mars/Jupiter contacts can indicate enhanced, even extreme (Jupiter) anger issues (Mars), with a propensity to go from 0 to 60 in mere seconds, once triggered, which appears to have been the case in the fatal shooting here. Weber in the mix further personalizes this to Webber, making a hair-trigger temper an established feature of his cosmic makeup. Weber trine to Mercury at 17 Cancer conforms to the typical PNA (Personal-Named Asteroid) rule: namely, that asteroids reflecting the native will appear in the birth chart in connection to the Sun, Moon, Ascendant or Mercury, as ruling the naming function.
Victim Bradrick Wells is seen as asteroids Broderick 18766 (alternate form), which at 11 Leo conjoins asteroid Gunn 18243 at 5 Leo, uniting victim and murder weapon. This pairing anchors a wobbly Grand Cross, opposed a precise union of Uranus and Damocles 5335 at 12 Aquarius, with the crossbars formed by a conjunction of asteroids Anubis 1912 and Nemesis128 at 2 and 12 Scorpio; and asteroid Wells 1721 at 19 Taurus, with Sedna/Quadri. Uranus rules shootings generally, Damocles indicates the looming threat or peril; Anubis is named for the ancient Egyptian deity governing funerary rites, Nemesis is known as the bringer of destruction and ruin (both are also embedded at station, granting further heft and impact); Wells of course is the victim’s surname. Put together, this reads as celestial shorthand for the threat (Damocles) of a fatal (Anubis) shooting (Uranus, Gunn) by an amputee (Sedna, Quadri) which destroys (Nemesis) Bradrick Wells (Broderick, Wells).
The venue for the murder is seen in two ways, both geographic and circumstantial. Asteroid La Plata 1029, for Webber and Wells’ town of residence, where the shooting occurred, appears at 9 Sagittarius, conjoined both Pluto at 5 Sagittarius and TNO Ixion 28978, with Pluto ruling criminality and the planetary ruler of homicide, and Ixion noted as the first murderer in Greek myth. The vehicular locale is portrayed by asteroid Carr 3837 (phonetic match for “car”) at 15 Gemini, conjoined Mars at 21 Gemini, ruler of violent death, and opposed La Plata, further setting the scene. The Tesla manufacture of the vehicle shows as asteroid Tesla 2244 at 20 Sagittarius, also opposed Mars/Carr, but more to the point, conjunct asteroid Requiem2254 at 25 Sagittarius, named for the funeral mass for the dead.
Wells’ body was dumped in Charlotte Hall, MD, after which Webber fled to Charlottesville, VA. The importance of the name Charlotte to Webber’s biography is foreshadowed by asteroid Charlotte 543, which at 7 Libra squares the 2 Cancer Sun. Asteroid Hall 3299 at 13 Gemini, conjunct Carr and opposed Ixion/Pluto, makes Charlotte Hall a logical place to divest oneself of a man murdered in your car.
If you think that’s hot stuff, you ain’t seen nuthin’ yet! The skies for the shooting were indisputably tailor-made for the circumstance.
The chart is cast for 10:25 PM EDT in La Plata, MD, the time when officers were flagged down by Webber’s surviving friends, similar to a 911 call. Asteroid Weber at 16 Aquarius is an exact match for the IC, and opposes asteroid d’Arrest 9133 at 24 Leo, on the 16 Leo MC. Although not the actual minute of Webber’s arrest, these placements show him prominent in the moment of his unmasking, and the eventual outcome of his detention (d’Arrest). Natal d’Arrest at 24 Aquarius opposes its transit position, strengthening its effects, and is at station, turning retrograde six days after Webber’s birth. This stationary status highlights some form of arrest, detention, indictment or charges filed as a pivotal element of Webber’s biography. To underscore the significance, on the day of his arrest, Webber’s transiting celestial referent both opposed transit d’Arrest, and conjoined natal d’Arrest. The transiting MC at 16 Leo conjoined natal Broderick at 11 Leo, emphasizing Bradrick Wells in Webber’s psyche, along with any perceived injuries or injustices committed by him.
The 9 Scorpio Ascendant aligns with Webber’s natal stationary Anubis/Nemesis conjunction, emphasizing themes of death (Anubis), destruction (Nemesis), and retribution (also Nemesis, with Webber claiming damage done by Wells in the alleged theft from his home). The 9 Taurus Descendant focuses on the natal Sedna/Quadri conjunction, again pointing toward Webber as highlighted in the moment.
The chart is dominated by four major patterns, two Grand Crosses and two Grand Trine Kites. The first Cross is anchored by the triple conjunction of the Sun and Neptune (both 1 Aries) with Saturn (4 Aries). This suggests drugs or drinking (both Neptune) may have played a factor; at a minimum, it points to confusion and fuzzy thinking. Saturn is the ancient lord of death, bringing in mortality to the equation. This group opposes asteroid Carr at 3 Libra, establishing the vehicle venue. The shooting took place on Newport Church Road in La Plata, and the cosmos obliges us with two-thirds of that address. La Plata itself is a bit wide of portions of the Grand Cross, but its conjunction with Jupiter at 15 Cancer ensured publicity and notoriety for the sleepy little town of 11,000.
But the truly astounding bit of cosmic synchronicity comes with the kites. The Grand Trine base of Kite #1 is formed from Pluto at 5 Aquarius, modern lord of death and planetary ruler of homicide, trine Uranus at 28 Taurus with asteroids Quadri and Hall, both at 3 Gemini (identifying a shooting by a quadruple amputee who dumps the body in Charlotte Hall), and asteroid Carr at 3 Libra, once again a nod to where the shooting occurred. The String of the Kite is Carr’s opposition to Sun/Neptune/Saturn, making that polarity central to both defining patterns.
Kite #2’s simplicity, specificity, economy of participants, and applicability to the story are breathtaking. The Grand Trine is formed with asteroid Weber at 16 Aquarius, trine asteroids Requiem, the funeral mass for the dead, at 13 Libra and Osiris 1923, the Egyptian god of the dead, at 13 Gemini, with the String formed by Requiem’s opposition to asteroid Wells at 16 Aries. Encapsulated in this one constellation are the names of the shooter (Weber), the victim (Wells) and the lethal nature of their interaction (Requiem, Osiris).
As with the interlocked Grand Cross and Kite described above, this second Kite also connects to the second Grand Cross. The Wells/Requiem opposition is fleshed out into a Grand Cross by Jupiter with La Plata at 15 and 14 Cancer, and by asteroid Atropos 273 at 18 Capricorn, named for the mythic Greek Fate who severs the thread of life at death.
Additional details are provided by asteroid Broderick at 29 Gemini, squared asteroid Lachesis 120 at 22 Virgo, named for the mythic Greek Fate who determines the span of life, indicating Bradrick Wells (Broderick) was about to run out of time (Lachesis). Lachesis conjoins asteroid Korn at 16 Virgo, pinpointing the pro cornholer as the determiner of Wells’ lifespan. Korn is too wide for a square to Broderick, but opposes a pairing of Mercury and Mars at 8 and 15 Virgo, signaling violent death (Mars) in a means of transport (Mercury); stationary Tesla at 10 Sagittarius creates a T-Square and identifies the make of the car involved.
And what of the victim? Born 6 June 1998, just 17 days before his killer, many of the same patterns repeat, but with some significant differences.
The Sun at 15 Gemini combines with asteroid Carr, Mercury and Mars, at 8, 9 and 10 Gemini. Carr and Mars conjoin in Webber’s chart as well, but not so closely, implying that the violent death (Mars) in an auto (Carr) would be more impactful for Wells, who lost his life, than for Webber, who took it. The Sun within orb also marks this combination as intrinsically more powerful for Wells. Mercury here is an innovation over Webber’s chart, and doubles down on the vehicle connection, while its conjunction with Mars depicts the argument between them that precipitated the shooting. An opposition from Carr/Mars/Mercury to TNO Ixion at 1 Sagittarius points to murder as the means of violent death, as opposed to a car crash or hit-and-run.
Asteroid Weber at 20 Gemini, squared the Sun, identifies Webber as the villain of the piece, and establishes tension or conflict (square) between them. Weber also sits at the fulcrum of a T-Square with asteroids Atropos at 26 Gemini and Tesla at 24 Sagittarius, expressing Webber (Weber) as the agent of death (Atropos) for Wells, involving his SUV (Tesla).
Venus at 8 Taurus conjoined asteroids Quadri and Wells at 6 and 12 Taurus points to Wells and Webber (Quadri) as friends (Venus), but also signals potential issues over money or things of value (Venus also), such as the unnamed object Webber accused Wells of stealing.
The brief birthdate discrepancy between the two nevertheless evokes some very dramatic positional tweaks that created precise symmetries strongly linking them, in ways reflective of the crime. Wells sports Korn at 17 Cancer, Gunn at 25 Cancer, and Broderick at 5 Leo. By the time Webber is born, Korn has moved exactly atop Gunn, identifying the pro cornholer as the shooter, and Gunn has moved exactly atop Broderick, identifying Wells as the target.
The connectivity continues with other aspects. Wells’ natal Wells exactly squares Webber’s natal Uranus, sparking controversy, shocking acts and volatile responses. Webber’s natal Wells at 19 Taurus exactly squares Wells’ natal Lachesis at 19 Leo, making Webber as the determiner of his friend’s lifespan.
Looking at the charts of the shooter, the victim, the incident itself, and the links between them, one might be justified in wondering, “is there anything but Fate?”
