It was bound to happen, sooner or later. With tensions high, and ill-trained (1), heavily armed, masked ICE agents roaming the country, someone was going to get hurt. That someone was Renee Good of Minneapolis, MN, an American citizen who lost her life on January 7 when an ICE agent shot her in the face three times at point-blank range, as she was attempting to move her vehicle, which she had positioned to partially block the street.
Trump administration flunkies and the Agitator-in-Chief lost no time in disparaging the dead woman, 37, mother of three, before the body had been moved (2), calling her a professional agitator who had “run over” an ICE agent in her attempt to ram them with her car. Labelled a “domestic terrorist” before her name was known, footage taken by fellow citizens directly disputes the official version of events, showing Good waving on the first of an ICE convoy of vehicles, which was able to detour around her parked car.
But the second ICE pickup stopped, two agents got out and aggressively approached Good, one attempting to yank open the locked door while yelling profanities at her. A third circles to the front of the car as Good, likely panicked, backs up the car, turns the wheel to head right, away from the officers, and starts to leave. Moments before, Good had calmly told the approaching officer, issuing orders to leave, “That’s fine, dude, I’m not mad at you.” Now the agent in front of the car, identified as Jonathan Ross, shoots once through the windshield, and twice more from the side as the vehicle passed him. The car accelerates, likely with the dead woman’s foot pressing down the pedal, and careens down the street to hit a pole and another vehicle.
The atrocity occurred under a remarkable triple conjunction of the Sun, Venus, and Mars, all at 17 Capricorn, placing a focus (Sun) on the violent death (Mars) of a woman (Venus). An opposition to Jupiter at 20 Cancer ensures widespread publicity of the event, and also describes the out-of-proportion, over-the-top response from ICE agents, as well as the nationwide protests which ensued. A Grand Cross is formed with asteroids Requiem 2254 at 15 Libra, named for the funeral mass for the dead, and Portandia 757 at 18 Aries. The shooting occurred on Portland Avenue in Minneapolis; a day later ICE agents shot two more people in a car in Portland, Oregon, again alleging the couple was trying to run them over.
With the solar stellium are asteroids Jonathanli 27194 at 12 Capricorn and Jonathanma 32049 at 26 Capricorn, two CNAs (Compound-Name Asteroids, with first and last names strung together as one word, which can be separated and used for either) which identify shooter Jonathan Ross. This spotlights (Sun) the ICE agent in the timeframe, for good or ill.
Renee Good is seen as asteroid Goode 11790 (alternate spelling) at 28 Leo, which is squared to a pairing of Uranus at 27 Taurus, ruling shootings generally, and asteroid Osiris 1923 at 26 Taurus, named for the Egyptian god of the dead, underscoring the “fatal (Osiris) shooting (Uranus)” theme, and directing it specifically to the victim (Goode). Osiris is also at peak influence, being embedded at station (turning direct the following day). A T-Square is formed with Damocles 5335 at 0 Pisces, indicating a threat, peril or doom hanging unseen overhead, about to descend at any moment. A Grand Cross is completed with asteroids Gunn 18243 (phonetic match and alternate spelling of “gun”) and Atropos 273 (Fate who severs the thread of life at death) at 4 and 8 Sagittarius, identifying the fatal source of the peril.
Asteroid Renate 575, Italian for Renee, also represented the victim. At 22 Virgo, it is also at station, indicating a major turning point in her life has been reached: in this case, its cessation. Renate is accompanied by asteroids Lachesis 120, named for the mythic Greek Fate who determines the span of life, at 29 Virgo, and Rossi 3969 at 16 Virgo, also representing Officer Ross, thus aligning Good directly with her killer. Rossi is also at station, signaling a crucial moment in his biography as well; Rossi turns direct January 11, Renate follows suit on January 13.
Renate and Rossi are squared to an exact conjunction of asteroids Nemesis 128 and Polizzi 3188 at 18 Sagittarius, and form a T-Square with Saturn and Neptune at 26 and 29 Pisces. Nemesis is noted as the bringer of destruction; Polizzi indicates a police presence (cognate with German Polizei and Italian Polizia, both meaning “police”); Saturn rules law enforcement and is the ancient lord of death; Neptune creates confusion and rules zealotry and fanaticism.
There is no stand-alone asteroid for ICE, but adding asteroid Iceland 110299 to the mix shows a placement at 4 Scorpio, on the fulcrum of a T-Square with Pluto at 2 Aquarius (Pluto is the modern lord of death, also planetary ruler of homicide) conjoined asteroid Rip at 7 Aquarius (“RIP”), and asteroid Hazard 9305 at 8 Leo, identifying a danger or risk. Pluto/Rip also participates in a Grand Trine with asteroid Anubis at 10 Gemini, named for the ancient Egyptian deity governing funerary rites, and a pairing of asteroids Copland 4532 and Carr 3837 at 4 and 6 Libra, suggesting police involvement (Copland) with a vehicle (Carr).
Renee Good’s birth chart also reflects the potential for this tragic end. Born 2 April 1988 (no time available), the nativity sports a remarkable exact triple conjunction at 18 Gemini of asteroids Osiris, Jonathanma and Polizzi, with asteroid Goode abutting from 17 Gemini, directly linking Good’s (Goode) death (Osiris) with her officer (Polizzi) killer, Jonathan Ross (Jonathanma). Moreover, this grouping squares asteroids Requiem, Rossi and Damocles, at 14, 15 and 19 Pisces, further identifying Officer Ross (Rossi) as the fatal (Requiem) peril looming (Damocles). This natal pattern was accentuated by a Lunar Eclipse at 15 Pisces on September 7, exactly conjunct Rossi, setting the stage for their conflict. On the day of her death, it was activated by an exact conjunction of asteroids Nemesis and Polizzi at 18 Sagittarius, once again identifying the police (Polizzi) as the source of her ruin (Nemesis).
A pairing of asteroids Atropos and Carr at 22 and 26 Leo squares TNO Ixion 28978 at 22 Scorpio, named for the first murderer in Greek myth, and asteroid Lachesis at 16 Scorpio, suggesting a lifespan (Lachesis) cut short (Atropos) by a homicide (Ixion) involving a vehicle (Carr). An exact square from asteroid Copland at 17 Taurus to Rip at 17 Aquarius suggests a death (Rip) related specifically to police activity (Copland).
Connections from the transit sky to the natal chart abound. In addition to the exact opposition from transit Polizzi to its natal place described above,
- transit Iceland at 4 Scorpio is an exact match for natal Anubis;
- transit Sun/Venus/Mars at 17 Capricorn conjoins natal Jonathanli at 19 Capricorn;
- transit Jonathanli at 12 Capricorn exactly squares the natal Sun at 12 Aries;
- transit Jonathanma at 26 Capricorn conjoins natal Mars at 27 Capricorn;
- transit asteroid Photographica 443 at 14 Aquarius conjoins natal Rip at 17 Aquarius (video footage (Photographica) of her death (Rip));
- transit Goode at 28 Leo conjoins natal Atropos/Carr at 22/26 Leo and is squared by transit Osiris/Uranus at 26/27 Taurus; and
- transit Pluto/Rip at 2/7 Aquarius conjoins natal Portlandia at 4 Aquarius, for her death (Pluto, Rip) on Portland Avenue (Portlandia).
(Note also that natal Anubis and Portlandia are exactly squared, prefiguring her death in that location.)
On the day following her death, US Vice President JD Vance, defending the indefensible, described the event as “a tragedy of her own making.” I suppose, from a karmic standpoint, given the multiple natal signatures that prefigured it, he had a point.
Will Renee Good be seen as a martyr? A symbol of the struggle against autocracy? Astrologically, the potential is there. On a basic planetary level, with Sun square Neptune at 10 Capricorn, there is the chance that she could be seen in that light, with martyrdom Neptune-ruled. There is also a high probability of distortion, deception, or outright lies disseminated about her final encounter with ICE, all additional manifestations of Neptune (reinforced natally by a conjunction of asteroids Iceland and Lie 26955 at 20 and 24 Aries, also squared by the solar stellium at her death).
But more specifically, transit asteroid Martir 1582 (phonetic match for “martyr”) appears at 19 Taurus, powerful in its station, trine the Sun/Venus/Mars conjunction and ready to turn direct on January 8. This station repeats one in her birth chart, where natal Martir at 8 Leo is also at station, also trine the Sun, also turning direct, just five days prior. It’s a powerful combination, made all the more potent by an accident of nomenclature – in killing Renee, they killed a Good person.
As long as ICE runs rampant through American cities, we can expect more such incidents in the future. Protest is essential, but the Trump administration wants to make it clear: Protest Equals Death, in this unequal struggle between Truth and Power. In the words of Renee Good’s spouse Becca, characterizing the clash that took her wife, “We had whistles. They had guns.”

(1) Training for ICE agents has been cut from five months to 47 days; leaving officers used to rural, low-population districts ill-prepared for the intensity of urban centers. Among the curricula eliminated? Spanish-language training. If that duration of 47 days sounds random, it’s not: it was chosen to reflect Donald Trump as the 47th US President, by this cult masquerading as an administration.
(2) Less than three hours after the shooting, Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem gave a version of events cut from whole cloth, stating ICE officers had stopped to dig their car out of a snowbank when Good premeditatedly rammed them with her vehicle, labeling it an act of “domestic terrorism.”
