Donald J. Trump’s particular genius for creating chaos and mayhem was on full display in the first month after his second inauguration on 20 January 2025. A flurry of executive orders mandating everything from the end of birthright citizenship (a constitutionally enshrined right which requires an amendment ratified by three-fourths of the states to alter) to the quixotic renaming of the Gulf of Mexico as “the Gulf of America” (and would you like Freedom Fries with that?) was just the beginning. Most of the heavy lifting of dismantling the federal government was consigned to Elon Musk and his fabricated Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), who has proceeded to reflexively fire or eliminate thousands of workers with civil service protections and close entire agencies without congressional authority. Freezes on funding, hiring, and dispensing approved funds have rounded out DOGE’s resume.
The hollowing out of the FBI, CIA and Justice Department continues apace, while among the layoffs that needed to be quickly rescinded were for workers responsible for managing the US nuclear arsenal and a task force trying to stem the rising tide of bird flu. Trump is actively cutting FAA employees at a time when air crashes are rising, and has just installed a vaccine skeptic and denier at HHS even as measles outbreaks occur across the country.
Donald Trump has stated he wants to “take over” Gaza, moving out the Palestinians en masse to create a fabulous seaside resort in the space; take back the Panama Canal; acquire Greenland from Denmark, by whatever means; and make Canada the US’ fifty-first state. He has threatened massive tariffs for trading rivals and allies alike, most of which have been temporarily deferred, and stated unequivocally that Ukraine should never have started its war with Russia (it didn’t), refusing to include them in negotiations for its end.
And all that in just 30 days. The good news is, there are only 1430 days left to his term.

Unsurprisingly, so far the administration is living up to its inaugural chart, which features the Sun, representing the core essence and focus of the new regime, at 0 Aquarius conjoined Pluto, symbol of naked power, autocracy, plutocracy and billionaires, and criminal behaviors, at 1 Aquarius. Also here is asteroid Apophis 99942 at 27 Capricorn, named for the ancient Egyptian personification of pure evil; you can judge for yourself whether such things as ending cancer research and abruptly closing clinical trials for suffering patients (some of whom have been implanted with test devices that now will not be monitored or removed) at NIH, or cutting off famine aid and critical medical supplies overseas dispensed by USAID, qualifies as such.
This Sun/Pluto pairing squared asteroid Whitehouse 4036 at 2 Scorpio confirms the Oval Office as the source of the power grab by billionaires, those elected and those not. Musk’s cadre of 20-something tech geniuses is delving deeply into private, personal information at Treasury, the IRS, Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid, perhaps with a view to enacting Pluto’s affinity with coercion, intimidation and manipulation one day. Or perhaps just to enhance Musk’s half-trillion-dollar portfolio down the road.
Americans inaugurated Donald Trump under a combination of Saturn at 16 Pisces with Venus and asteroid Troemper 28130, both at 17 Pisces, and asteroid America 916 at 23 Pisces. This depicts a desire (Venus) for an incoming chief executive (Saturn) for the US (America) who would be fiscally (Venus) responsible (Saturn), cutting (Saturn) costs (Venus) to the benefit of the country (America). With asteroid Donn right there, Donald Trump seemed like the logical choice to many.

What they didn’t count on was the appearance here of asteroid MANIAC 228029 with this mix as well, at 22 Pisces. Yes, America is now being run by a nutjob (MANIAC), who has staffed up the administration with fellow nutjobs, and turned over management to the biggest nutjob of them all. Sadly, this state of affairs is ongoing, with Donn and MANIAC running together through early September, egging The Donald on to ever greater heights of egomania and insanity. Ironically, the crescendo of this opera buffa will be at the nation’s next birthday party, 4 July 2025, when the two conjoin exactly. But their effects linger for much longer, since at Donald Trump’s solar return in June, the pair are just a degree apart, cresting his natal Midheaven and squared natal Mars on the Ascendant, cementing this Trump/nutjob energy in his psyche for another full year (not that he needs the assist). This vastly energizes (Mars) the Trump Crazy Gene (Donn, MANIAC), particularly in areas which affect career (Midheaven), in ways that become obvious to all, and self-defining (Ascendant).
In his mania, Trump is aided and abetted by numerous cohorts he has brought into his administration, each seemingly less qualified for their new positions, and more dangerous to the country’s safety and wellbeing.
Let’s start at the top, with the most unofficial official of them all, Elon Musk. We’ve already seen, in the AAA profile of same, how the latent potential of acting as a spokesperson for a federal administration was foreshadowed by a T-Square of Mercury on its fulcrum, squared to an opposition of asteroids Whitehouse 4036 and Washingtonia 886. And we noted how asteroids Troemper 28130 and Nike 307 conjoined Washingtonia suggested that a Trump (Troemper) electoral victory (Nike) would be the key to unlocking that potential. Modifiers in the form of asteroid Icarus 1566 conjunct Whitehouse and asteroid Pandora 55 conjunct Washingtonia predicted the result: that rash, reckless acts (Icarus) would unleash a host of ills and unintended consequences (Pandora).

But to grasp the full picture, we need to see how Elon Musk’s asteroid referents fit into the inauguration chart. There are no exact matches for either name, but asteroids Ilona 1182 and Ellen 2735 are closest to Elon, while asteroid Muskau 29053 approximates Musk. All three help to refine Musk’s role in the second Trump term.
Asteroid Ilona at 20 Taurus conjoins the 14 Taurus Ascendant, making Elon Musk one of the more visible members of the administration, prominent as its public face in the across-the-board transformation. This is already proving something of a liability, with early blowback over Musk’s sweeping powers and radical changes, using a chainsaw instead of a scalpel to make his cuts, emerging at recent Republican congressmen’s town halls.
Asteroid Ellen at 1 Capricorn conjoins asteroids Toro 1685 and Swindle 8690 at 3 and 5 Capricorn, establishing Musk’s actions as key to Trump’s policy of intimidation and bullying (Toro), and desire to rip off the country and take what he can get (Swindle). Asteroid Muskau at 3 Sagittarius, exactly conjunct asteroid Intel 8080 and also conjoined asteroid Lie 26955 at 1 Sag, squared Damocles 5335 at 0 Pisces and asteroid Bilk 4425 at 7 Pisces, affirms that Musk will use the information (Intel) he gleans from his unprecedented access to Americans’ private data to further con or scam (Bilk), and spread disinformation (Lie), forming a looming threat or peril (Damocles) to the country.

The potential for Elon Musk to become a formative agent in Trump’s biography is seen in the natal placements of his PNAs (Personal-Named Asteroids) in Donald Trump’s birth chart. Most tellingly, asteroid Ellen at 24 Taurus is stationary, indicating someone with outsized importance or great influence. Ellen turned direct on June 8th, 1946, six days before Trump’s birth, and conjoins natal asteroid Toro at 21 Libra, also stationary, doubling down on the sense that Musk is Trump’s partner in broad-based, pervasive intimidation. The repetition of the Ellen/Toro conjunction at the inauguration reiterates this connection.
Among Trump’s other controversial Cabinet picks are Tulsi Gabbard, nominated as Director of National Intelligence (DNI), overseeing 18 intelligence agencies. Gabbard, a former Democratic Representative for Hawaii, has no background whatsoever in intelligence or management of large organizations, is a former apologist for Syrian dictator Bashar al-Assad, a supporter of Edward Snowden, and frequently mouths Russian President Vladimir Putin’s talking points regarding the Ukraine invasion.

Unsurprisingly, a quick review of Gabbard’s birth chart (born 12 April 1981, no time available) shows asteroids Washingtonia, Russia and Snowdonia at station, indicating pivotal importance for these elements in her biography. Washingtonia and Russia conjoin, at 20 and 26 Leo, in a Grand Cross with an opposition to asteroid Gabor 72071 at 29 Aquarius (closest to Gabbard) and squares to Uranus at 29 Scorpio (her controversial stances) and asteroid Senator at 21 Taurus (prefiguring her Senate confirmation hearings, where her unconventional attitudes toward Russia was a featured topic).
Her personal affinity for Bashar al-Assad is seen in the Sun/Venus conjunction at 22 and 23 Aries, on the fulcrum of a T-Square with asteroids Asada 8233 (closest to Assad) at 24 Capricorn and Tusi 10269 (closest to Tulsi) at 24 Cancer. Pluto at 22 Libra, opposed Sun/Venus, makes this a Grand Cross, and affirms her affection (Venus) for autocrats (Pluto) such as Assad and Putin. A combination of Mercury at 7 Aries with asteroids America 916 and Basher 134127 at 9 Aries (closest to Bashar) reiterates Gabbard as the US’ (America) chief apologist (Mercury) for Assad (Basher).
While she describes Edward Snowden’s release of sensitive intelligence data as “breaking the law,” Gabbard repeatedly refused to call him a “traitor” during her Senate hearings, as seen in stationary asteroid Snowdonia at 11 Sagittarius, squared asteroid NOT 2857 at 9 Sagittarius, a general disqualifier or symbol of negation. NOT also conjoins asteroid Nemesis 128 at 4 Pisces, exactly squared asteroid Moskva 787 at 4 Gemini, imaging her refusal (NOT) to identify Moscow (Moskva in Russian) as an enemy or opponent (Nemesis).

Tulsi Gabbard’s Senate hearings commenced on January 30, with the confirmation vote occurring February 12. Throughout the period, the Sun and asteroid Gabor were conjoined (Sun at 10 Aquarius, Gabor at 15 for the start; Gabor at 21 Aquarius, Sun at 24 for the vote), bringing attention and focus to Gabbard. As well, asteroid Tusi opposed asteroid Intel 8080 in that timeframe, linking her directly with her new job. At the start, Tusi at 0 Gemini was just out of orb of Jupiter at 11 Gemini, opposed Intel at 5 Sagittarius, and her confirmation looked like it might fail, with voiced opposition from several key GOP Senators. But as Tusi drew closer to Jupiter, AKA the Greater Benefic, bringer of luck, fortune and positive outcomes, those objections were overridden, and the vote came with Tusi conjunct Jupiter at 2 and 11 Gemini, opposed Intel at 9 Sagittarius.
It’s not just domestically that shockwaves are being felt from the new administration. Abroad, allies express concern that long-standing commitments may not be honored, and long-established foreign policy overturned.

Trump was fond of asserting during his campaign that he could end the war between Russia and Ukraine “in a day,” but apparently, the day he had in mind wasn’t during his first month in office. True, negotiations to end the war have begun, but only between representatives of the US and Russia – Ukraine has thus far not been included in determining its future.
Matters took an ominous turn on February 18, when Trump averred in several statements and social media posts that Ukraine President Volodymir Zelenskyy was a “dictator without elections” (Ukraine has been under martial law since Russia invaded in 2022, which precludes normal electoral processes); that only 4% of Ukrainians approved of their president’s job performance (latest polling has Zelesnskyy at 57%, considerably higher than Trump’s 45% approval); that Ukraine started the war (an absurdity); that “millions” of people have died (official estimates put it closer to 400,000 troops, and perhaps 12,000 civilians); and that the war has cost the US more than Europe (US contributions to Ukraine have totaled approximately $65 billion, the EU has given $125 billion). Zelenskyy responded that Trump was trapped in a “Russian disinformation bubble.”

Of course, simple facts have never mattered to Donald Trump, nor the simpletons who support him, but even so, the disparity between reality and fantasy seems extreme. Added pressure on Trump’s rationality has been applied by the Donn/MANIAC conjunction’s passage over Neptune, planetary ruler of insanity, deception, dishonesty, fraud and an inability to perceive reality. This is in effect from Inauguration Day through the Ides of March, affording an extended period wherein Trump’s ability to make focused, rational decisions is in serious jeopardy.
As well, on February 18, the very day of the Trump/Zelenskyy blowup, asteroid Nemesis came to its retrograde station at 29 Libra, conjoined asteroid Whitehouse at 7 Scorpio and squared asteroid Troemper 28130 (our celestial referent for Trump) at 6 Leo. This sets up Trump (Troemper) and the administration (Whitehouse) as an equal-opportunity opponent or adversary (Nemesis), taking on all comers as it exacts revenge or retribution and acting as roadblock or hindrance to progress (all Nemesis keywords).
Meanwhile, asteroids Moskva, America, and Ukraina 1709 are bunched together at 8, 11 and 14 Aries respectively, aligning the three major players in this drama within a frictional cosmic proximity that generates more heat than light. This grouping squares Mars, planet of war, strife and conflict, at 17 Cancer, paired with asteroid Zelinsky 3042 (alternate spelling of Zelenskyy) at 15 Cancer. The unconventional US/Russia partnership against Ukraine is seen in a conjunction of Uranus at 23 Taurus with asteroids Washingtonia and Russia at 19 and 25 Taurus, squared to asteroid Volodymyr 7633 (for Volodymyr Zelenskyy) at 19 Leo.
Note also that the transit Zelinsky/Mars duo brackets Trump’s natal Nemesis at 16 Cancer, identifying Trump as an inimical force in that conflict, particularly for Ukraine, and that transit Volodymyr conjoins Trump’s natal Mars at 26 Leo, marking Zelenskyy as an aggravating entity for Trump, somewhere to direct his ire (Mars).
Taken all for all, it’s a disturbing, but not unexpected, start to what will doubtless prove a very difficult four years.
