This year starts on an angelic wavelength, as these sun sign horoscopes for 2022 reveal. Astrologically and numerologically, enthusiastic Jupiter is a major player. 2022’s number, 6, is connected to that beneficent planet—to prosperity, family, marriage and protection. And just before the year begins, Jupiter shifts from the cold winter airs of Aquarius to the warm waters of Pisces, where its generous nature can more easily spill into our lives.
Not to say that all will be easy. Saturn, planet of effort, will remain in orb of his square to rebel Uranus, an aspect that for some time now has been making the change we want take more work than we expected. As for this year’s Eclipses in fixed Taurus and intense Scorpio, they will refocus our attention to the power within—indicating a different kind of effort, but one that also takes work.
Yet the number 6 radiates a protective influence, underscoring Jupiter as it transits through its sign of dignity, where this planet of good fortune will make a lot of things flow more easily, including unexpected opportunities and intuitive connections with people with whom we resonate, and angels that lend us a wing.
Aries: Reconnect with Your Dreams
In 2021, friends and group activities expanded your knowledge. Jupiter’s move into Pisces triggers your Twelfth House: the adventure continues and gets deeper. It can seem difficult to settle down and get quiet, but now you can apply the knowledge gathered last year via dreamwork, contacts with angels and spirit guides, forgiveness, developing your intuition, and whatever else you need to re-boot your brain. Seek out a medium, astrologer, spiritual teacher, therapist, artists, and positive friends who support your subtle life and exploration. They can help you create a daily space of inner connection and to get in touch with your intentions and dreams, which exert—thanks to Jupiter—an expanded power of manifestation whenever you do. Also, contact with healing people or groups will help you avoid escapism and addictive behaviors.
The planet of fortune will make an incursion into your sign from May 11 to October 28, giving you several great months to apply your charm and take the bold action that your guides have been suggesting.
Since 2008, your home front, career and long-term goals have been a source of transformational experiences. You would like the change to be faster, particularly in relation to new financial opportunities and emotional healing. Calling on the angels will facilitate shortcuts in your inner processes. As for your goals, heed the advice of friends and read practical books, so you can continue to organize for long-term progress. People in positions of power can help you but before approaching them, write to their angel asking for help and visualize successful encounters. This year’s Eclipses in Taurus and Scorpio facilitate healing your relationship with money and again, applying your inner power.
Although getting quiet is not your forte, it’s now your most most profitable adventure.
Taurus: Raise Your Voice and Attend to Your Connections
Jupiter in Pisces activates your Eleventh House of community and associations. It’s time to come out of your shell, step off the treadmill of daily routine, and connect with friends and groups that resonate with your ideals. You may meet some inspiring, artistic, mystical types or a bigger-than-life acquaintance who opens your vision to your potential. You may forge a lucrative liaison with someone creative or in the arts. You can even find a new life mission. Don’t fritter away your time or resources on partying or hanging out—a temptation of Jupiter in the Eleventh. Pay attention to opportunities like these and take initiative, quickly.
Saturn in your Tenth House indicates an important fruition of past efforts for self-reliance. Try not to get caught up in red tape or excessive rules and regulations. Since entering your sign in 2019, Uranus has been trying to shake you into new levels of audacity and freedom in your actions, self-image, assertiveness and passion. Somehow your job, connections with the boss, and concern for long-term security may dampen your courage. Within this same context, you can come up with new ways of doing things and give creative feedback to your superiors or to the public. A coach or wise confident can help you get clear on these ideas.
Since 2008, Pluto has been activating your Ninth House of higher education, foreign connections, self-improvement and beliefs. Over the years, your perspectives and vision have expanded. In 2022, the Eclipses in Scorpio and Taurus will bring your leadership and key relationships into this process.
Gemini: Work on Healing and Aim High
In its transit through your Tenth House, fortunate Jupiter helps you harvest positive results of career changes that happened during the pandemic, and the new abilities these changes precipitated. Get in touch with your long-term goals for work or a project of some kind—perhaps related to spirituality, a humanitarian endeavor, or your intuitive gifts. Be mindful of opportunities, and take action or they can easily slip by—and they can be game-changers. A boss, or someone in a key position will tend to look on you favorably and support your requests, as long as you are ready to commit to new responsibilities. With Neptune also in your Tenth, miracles can happen. From May 11 to October 28, Jupiter will be in Aries, where it will bring positive new friends and rekindle your ideals and sense of life mission. This is the time to rebuild your social circle, and to enjoy new experiences of learning and teaching.
As the year begins, with Venus retrograding through your Eighth House, you may wish to take a look at how you use your money, particularly the funds from an inheritance, or a shared business or financial venture. Pay attention to your main channels, as lack of focus may lead to problems. This transit can also help resolve a process of grieving—if necessary, look for help.
The Eclipses in Taurus and Scorpio stimulate your Twelfth and Sixth houses. You can release karma, deepen your inner practice of forgiveness and define a new phase of devotional or intuitive development. You can also consolidate a process of healing for yourself or others that can directly or indirectly help you capitalize on the fortunate energy that radiates into your career or other goals.
Cancer: Resolution, Love and Success
The year begins with Venus retrograding in Capricorn, giving a more personal dimension to the transit of Pluto in your Seventh House (partnership) and triggering a great force for healing your love life, your way of connecting with the public, or another key relationship. One or more of these connections has been a source of transformation and empowerment since Pluto first entered Capricorn in 2008. Take a look at the diamonds produced in the dark carbon of these years, bless your relationship processes, and choose the gems of good you’ll bring forward into the New Year, which holds the promise of a renewal as you consolidate or finalize these changes with determination but in the most loving way possible.
It may require a special effort to overcome resistance to decisive action, particularly in the light of other transits. Jupiter, for instance, will be expanding your horizons as it transits your Ninth House of travel, self-improvement, higher education, publishing, and adventure. With Neptune also in your Ninth House, life can seem to have become a beautiful river that just carries you along. Whoever would want to get off the boat and deal with those bothersome, boring nitty-gritties? Not the gentle, fantasy-loving crab. Yes, Jupiter in your Ninth is a sweet transit whose benefits include protection in legal situations; that’s another good reason to force yourself to shore, get down to business, work things out, and if necessary, negotiate the changes that ensure long-term security.
Getting your heart, your bureaucracy and your business in order will prepare you for Jupiter’s entrance in your Tenth House of goals and career, which begins on May 11 and enlivens your public image, career and goals. Through October 28, when the planet of promotion retrogrades back into Pisces, you may feel pushed beyond previous limits, impelled to move on a new path, apply your leadership skills and take risks.
Eclipses in Taurus and Scorpio will also accent your public profile. Since June 2020, the Gemini-Sagittarius cycle has been activating your Sixth and Twelfth houses of devotion, spirituality, health and daily work or habits. Last November, a new Eclipse axis began to consolidate changes in your Fifth and Eleventh houses, and the direction continues. You will renovate your social circle, your your relationship with offspring, enrich your legacy, open to new group connections, make breakthroughs, and find new levels of romance and fun.
Leo: New Horizons Both Within and Without
Since Pluto activated your Sixth House in 2008, you’ve been dealing with challenges related to health—yours or others’—as well as to work, to service activities and/or to your daily routine. Somehow, dealing with them has enriched your spirituality and led to empowerment. As 2022 begins, Venus retrograde in Capricorn supports your ability to appreciate this empowerment and revaluate your relationships and finances in that perspective.
After a year in your Seventh House, where it brought fun, freedom and expansion in relationships, Jupiter has now entered the Eighth, where it blesses the results of those relationships: shared businesses and finance, sex, and deep personal change. An inheritance may suddenly appear, or you may lay awake in bed, in awe at the curious thoughts that pass through your mind. You can get more perspective on your deep inner processes and find shortcuts and divine help to heal them. You will enjoy financial protection—you can restructure a loan, and obtain financial support. Focus on opportunities related to psychology, detective work, credits, loans and investments—and be ready to act.
On May 11, Jupiter enters Aries, another placement that favors you, triggering your Ninth House and through October 28 supporting spiritual journeys and quests, travel, learning, teaching, the development of new beliefs and sharing inspiration and leadership with groups.
Eclipses in Taurus and Scorpio contribute to evolutionary shifts in your home and public life. You are apt to change your residence or job, assume leadership, or consolidate a vital goal. You can get a deep level of healing in relation to childhood issues and release unconscious blocks to success and to shining your light.
Virgo: Relationships Shift; a Saleswoman Is Born
Since 2008, Pluto has been transiting your Fifth House, bringing transformation—and ultimately empowerment—through relationships with offspring, romance, and creative works. With retrograde Venus in the mix this New Year, you’ll be evaluating these changes—and those in your marital situation—and how they relate to your finances and self-esteem.
Jupiter in your Seventh House brings freedom and expansion in key relationships. If you have plans to move in with your partner, get married, revive your relationship, or expand your relationship with the public or your practice as a coach, consultant or attorney, this is a great year. In fact, April 12—and a few days before and after—offer an amazing portal to make such dreams come true, as Jupiter will join Neptune in your Seventh House.
If you’re recovering from a loss or separation, now’s the time to expand your horizons. In general, people will find you less nerdy and more extroverted and charming than usual. You can reach favorable agreements, close sales and convince others of your viewpoints. Be mindful of opportunities and take action, as from May 11 to October 28 and for several months next year, Jupiter’s transit through Aries will trigger your Eighth House, spotlighting the consequences or results of those relationships which you have worked to support in the previous months.
This year’s Eclipses trigger your Third and Ninth houses, helping you purge your mental habits, release pickiness, and open your beliefs to a more optimistic perspective. Again, this can awaken your ability to sell or lead to a more mental kind of work, like accounting, researching or consulting. Siblings, teachers and foreign lands can be special players.
Libra: Heal Your Body, Relationships, and Finances
Since 2008, Pluto in your Fourth House has wrought change in your living situation, your family and/or your emotional life. In one way or another, you have done some inner retreating. You may have felt pressured, but you have been working through it, getting in touch with your feelings, and ultimately becoming empowered. Venus retrograde at the New Year and during January favors reviewing those feelings as you radiate love to yourself and others, and if necessary, dissolve resentments.
As for Jupiter, its transit through your Sixth House makes this a great year to expand your work activities and negotiate greater benefits. They’ll tend to grow anyway, so you might as well choose what you want to do, whether that’s starting your own business, joining Doctors Without Borders, or asking for a promotion or change of area.
The planet of protection also shines its rays in your health. You attract the knowledge or help you need to cure long-standing or mysterious health challenge. Outdoor exercise supports your wellness, as do spiritual treatments.
Your spiritual life can take a more satisfying, optimistic direction. Guides on either side of the veil can be important, as can as a sojourn or new path. From May 11 to October 28, Jupiter shifts into your Seventh House of partnership, facilitating joyful connections.
This is a great year for partnering in a business or doing strategic planning. The Taurus-Scorpio Eclipse axis activates your Second and Eighth houses of financial, personal, and shared resources. You can heal a sense of unworthiness about money. Daring, persistent action leads to new level of financial wellness. Uranus in the Eighth awakens you to your inner power in new ways, and can open surprising avenues of wealth, including from crypto-currency. Fortunately, Saturn squaring from your Fifth House reaffirms your natural tendency to look before you leap, and your kids or friends might give you savvy feedback. Anyway, one or more of these avenues may prove to be lucrative.
Scorpio: Your Words Enrich You
Trust and apply your growing powers of communication. Since Pluto activated your Third House in 2008, you have been developing the magic of words—in affirmations, mantras, one-on-one communication, and/or online. Your natural gifts of persuasion and the intensity of your decrees are reaching a new level that will continue to grow with this year’s Eclipses in Taurus and Scorpio, which actually began in November of 2021. This year’s Eclipses are exact on April 30, May 16, October 25 and November 8. Although these dates are a point of no return in the changes they trigger, their effects are felt for months before and after. With Pluto, Scorpio’s ruler, transiting your Third House, they spotlight your powers of communication and, taking place in your Seventh House, direct them to renew your confidence, image, love life, partnerships, negotiation skills, and relationships with the public.
You wish for greater stability, but deep down, you’re still discovering your authentic self, and your relationship patterns are the mirror of this process. Reconnect with your feelings, but at the same time, practice detachment and discernment, because the pieces haven’t yet fallen into place. This is not a year to project your power onto others or get fixated on authority figures, and with retrograde Venus joining your ruling planet Pluto as the year begins, it’s particularly vital to avoid negative company and victim trips.
Jupiter, planet of angels, prosperity and protection will bring good fortune in its transit through Pisces, sign of dreams, triggering your Fifth House of luck—particularly through May 11 and again from October 29—and increasing your confidence and inspiration. Fortune will flow, particularly in relation to creative projects, friends, luck, romance and your children and/or legacy. Ask for direction from your angels and spirit guides to notice the opportunities and take audacious, innovative action.
Sagittarius: Rebuild Your Base, Connect with Family, and Make a Comeback
After a stressful 2021, your famous good luck kicks back in as your ruling planet Jupiter travels through Pisces, sign of its dignity, and later through Aries, where it activates your Fifth House of luck.
This influence sheds rays of sunshine into some long, challenging situations regarding issues of self-esteem, loss, and/or finances that you’ve been dealing with for some time, with Pluto churning its transformative way through your Second House. Your new lucky streak blends with Venus, planet of appreciation, has she retrogrades in the same House, guiding you to clear the decks and/or consolidate the results of financial and business projects and work on self-healing. To reap the rewards, focus on strategic, assertive action in financial and business concerns that have been on your plate since last year—or before.
Jupiter in Pisces unleashes a wave of protection and divine facilities in your Fourth House of family, home, emotions, and real-estate, making this a great year to control your nomadic instincts and focus on your roots. Be there for kin, sell or buy a home, change, beautify or renovate your residence, heal childhood issues, start living with someone, invest in property, fill your space with divine images. Actively turn your home into a refuge of peace that will allow you to recharge your batteries as you make headway toward your goals.
With freedom-fighter Uranus in your Sixth House, a work habit or situation that once seemed fulfilling can become confining. You’re restless and ready for a shift, although a square from structured Saturn indicates that it’s not time to jump ship just yet: there are things to set in place. With Saturn in the Third, they may include paperwork, sales transactions, bureaucracy, acquiring new mental patterns or knowledge, and sharing your ideas. Daily baby steps will build the base to take the new road that beacons.
Capricorn: Angels Have Your Back
If you feel like life’s been testing you, it may be partly because of Pluto. Since 2008, the planet of transformation has been in Capricorn, your sign. This hero’s or heroine’s journey has sent you into uncharted territories through which you may have doubted you would return—but you will, re-entering the familiar terrain of your previous life with new knowledge and power. Your luminous comeback will be more fully evident after Pluto enters Aquarius in March of 2023. For Caps with Sun or rising in early degrees, you may already be experiencing the empowerment this transit ultimately leads to.
Compounding the pressure, your ruling planet Saturn is transiting your Second House of resources. Of itself this isn’t so bad: it puts you to work on building for financial self-sufficiency. Saturn’s square to innovative Uranus in your Fifth House of fun and legacy fuels your creativity. The challenge comes when you feel that mundane situations don’t leave you with time to act on those exciting, new ideas. The magic kicks in when you focus your attention proactively and strategize to build yourself a path, and follow up with daily steps along that path. It may look like you’re improvising, but the way will begin to open. It already is, as this square, that has been going on for two years, is slowly waning during 2022, relieving some of the pressure.
Before this combination sounds like some sort of sick karmic joke, in comes Jupiter, planet of luck and expansion, moving into your Third House, where in Pisces it can make your dreams come true, bringing abundance through communications, sales, and new, more optimistic mental patterns. Reach out to colleagues, neighbors, and siblings, and do it fast, from January to April, since from May 11 to October 28 the planet of expansion dips into hot Aries, where it can fuel arguments with family members. So get it while it’s cool: mend bridges, do meditation, use positive affirmations, get contracts and agreements signed, promote your ideas, products and services,
This year’s Eclipses in Taurus and Capricorn bring another ray of light, activating your Fifth House of luck and fun and Eleventh of friends. Clean out useless distractions and low-vibrational socializing; go out of your way to build your talents and connect with positive friends. Like the angels, they can make a tangible, perhaps miraculous difference.
Aquarius: A Higher Alignment
Since 2008, Pluto in Capricorn has been transiting your Twelfth House of hidden realities and opening your perception to the mysterious, mystical side of life. As 2022 begins, Venus accompanies Pluto as she retrogrades through Capricorn, bringing a gift of some sort. The goddess-planet’s energy for love and prosperity favors review of Twelfth House areas like forgiveness, closing a cycle in relationship, reconciliation, clarifying a long-standing confusion with someone, connecting with your light network and renewing a vision board or other materials to visualize happy relationships and prosperity. Use this transit to make time for yourself and value that time.
Of all the signs, you, Aquarius, may have the highest chances of significantly expanding your income. After some years of confusion or lack of clarity, fortunate Jupiter transiting through your Second House of resources can make your dreams of prosperity come true. If opportunities appear, look into them and be ready to act, because Jupiter’s brand of luck requires action, and it can fade as easily as it appears. A teacher, coach or friends can make positive contributions to your self-esteem, and invoking the angels for guidance in healing, investment and finances is particularly powerful. Jupiter expands your vision, so look beyond your known avenues of income; use your imagination to visualize yourself with large sums of money in your wallet and bank account. This placement also favors sharing resources with others.
The upcoming Eclipses trigger your Fourth House of emotional and physical roots and real-estate and the Tenth House of profession, public image and long-term goals. The atmosphere of your daily life, how you feel and where you’re headed are shifting, and the Eclipses push those changes along. See a therapist, keep a journal; do what you can to face and heal your feelings. Allow yourself to envision more fulfilling goals, perhaps involving spiritual or creative interests or, with Pluto in the Twelfth ruling your Tenth House, something involving life’s mysteries.
Pisces: Your Star Shines Brightly
The last will be the first, and the stars happen to shine most brightly for you. Jupiter in Pisces offers protection, increases your charm and builds your confidence, optimism and sociability. It softens your sometimes shy or guarded edges and boosts your morale, making things flow great especially for leadership, assertiveness, independent projects, key connections and love. If you wish to make a change in your appearance or image, this is a great time. Reach out to people, because you will tend to get great responses, and enjoy support and fun during the first four and the last two months of the year. From May 11 to October 28, Jupiter shifts to Aries, where it transits in your Second House of finances, precipitating opportunities to expand your income. The planet of prosperity will move back into Pisces for the last two months of the year. Pay attention and get ready to enter the doors of opportunity, because they could disappear as quickly as they opened.
Since 2008, Pluto traveling in Capricorn has been inspiring you to do something purposeful, a cultural, creative or humanitarian contribution. You may have been put in a leadership position where people look to you for direction. And you are apt to more get help to do this. As the year begins, make a special effort to connect with others. Look at who you’re spending your time with and take care not to waste it. A friend or romantic partner from the past may resurface, a relationship may be renewed, or you may gain closure.
The year’s Eclipses activate your Third and Ninth houses of communication and education. They tend to be favorable for you, increasing your power of self-expression, expanding your confidence and helping you develop your skills as a speaker, writer, businessperson or performer. You can develop more positive beliefs, and find fortune in educational activities, long-distance travel, business or connections. Take courses and use all the opportunities you can to improve your ability to speak, write, publish, sell—in one way or another to express yourself.

Hi I think there’s a typo- last para. in CAP. Its the Taurus-Scorpio axis that gets activated (5th & 11th). Really appreciate these forecasts. Happy New Year!
Susan Pomeroy says
Thanks Ellie! We’ll get the Resident Astrologer right on it. Wishing you a marvelous New Year.
Kate says
Happy New Year, Crystal! Thank you for these uplifting, encouraging horoscopes to kick off 2022. I’m very excited to have Jupiter in my 8th and 9th houses this year. I believe Jupiter is associated with number 3 and Venus with the number 6, also auspicious.
Crystal Pomeroy says
Congratulations Kate. Sounds like you have a Leo rising. Yes, there are those who associate 3 with Jupiter and 6 with Venus, among them Linda Goodman. Personally, I’ve found the field of astronumerology very deep and effective for myself and for hundreds of clients whose charts I’ve done. It associates 3 with Venus (Taurus, Libra, 2nd and 7th houses), and secondarily with Pisces and Neptune (12th and 9th, etc.). 6 is related to Jupiter and Sag, and secondarily, Cancer and Moon, etc.). An important contributer to this field, Lloyd Cope, was actually an important teacher for Linda.
Keep us posted on your Jupiter adventures, thanks for your contribution and Happy Epiphany and New Year.
