Wednesday, December 1
Recover your inward connection through prayer, meditation, self-healing, forgiveness, visualization, or contacting light beings.
At 3:55 am (6:55 ET), Moon enters in deep Scorpio, a placement made even more sensitive by psychic Neptune’s station-to-direct. This aspect brings up the wisdom we’ve gathered through dreams, intuition and angel contacts since late June, so that we can actively apply these insights in our lives. Review the months and weeks since then and write down lessons, understanding or empowerment gleaned from the subtle realms during this time.
Another intuitive trigger is the quincunx from mental Mercury to Uranus, planet of awakening. Inner connections and independent, creative activities are the best way to direct today’s deep influences.
Today’s numerology of 1 favors new beginnings, though perhaps solitary ones for the moment. Aspects are tense—not so great for people connections.
Affirmation:
I give thanks for the guidance of angels that flows to me continually, now and always.
Thursday, December 2
Moon in deep Scorpio opposing Uranus, planet of awakening, is good for creative activities, therapy and spiritual healing.
However, people connections may remain tense, and flow better after 12:58 pm (3:58 ET), when Moon harmonizes with planets of spiritual and personal love. First, there’s a trine to Neptune and a bit later, a sextile to sweet Venus. Connections are harmonized, with Moon in Scorpio, especially with family, or for romance, lust, or other close ties.
At 4:30 pm (7:30 ET), the sweetness fades as at 4:45 pm (7:45 ET), Moon in Scorpio joins co-ruler, pushy Mars, intensifying the courage of this already strong lunar placement. We are emboldened, and may get ticked off. With Moon coming to the end of her cycle, this aspect favors decluttering our emotional and/or physical space, writing a list of situations and attitudes we wish to eliminate, or taking action to set a goal in motion—action at a distance, since contacts with others may feel unnecessarily heavy.
At 8:26 pm (11:26 ET), Moon sextiles ruler Pluto, planet of change. We can continue our processes of decluttering and elimination. This aspect also favors psychic work and connecting with people or groups that can make a powerful difference in our lives—for instance someone influential, a respected elder, or the public. On the doorstep of tomorrow’s Solar Eclipse New Moon, handle communications with care, and avoid drastic action.
Affirmation:
Divine love touches me through everything and everyone, and only good comes to me through all people and situations now.
Friday, December 3
At 4:13 am (7:13 ET), Moon enters Sagittarius, sign of vision, optimism, negotiation and expansion.
The seed-power of tomorrow’s New Moon is intensified by tonight/tomorrow’s Solar Eclipse (it straddles both days, beginning at 9:29 PST (12:29 am EST) and ending at 1:37 am PST (4:37 am ET). We can start a spiritual project or something related to promotion, business, jurisprudence, diplomacy, foreign concerns, friendship, or education. The Eclipse energy comes on strong, but it’s best to save major decisions or drastic actions for early January. However, we can certainly set things in motion.
Codes of healing are activated. Moon and Sun trine wounded-healer Chiron, sextile constructive Saturn and make their closest aspect to Uranus, planet of awakening and liberation that is also related to faith healing.
This eclipse activates the South Node, related to something from the past. Sagittarius rules forgiveness and pre-modern traditions. In an ironic manner, these themes combine with the Sabian symbol to indicate a release from patriarchal strictures.
The Sabian symbol for 12-13 Sagittarius is a misogynistic bomb. It says:
“A widow’s past comes to light.”
Rudhyar’s interpretation goes on to discuss karma and retribution for past deeds. Although it sloughs over the insult to women saying, “The widow is humanity,” the archetype itself smacks of a mindset in which widows are subject to public scrutiny and have their identity confined to a now-obsolete, sexually limited status. How odd would it sound to say, “A widower’s past comes to light”?
In the Eclipse chart, Mars is in Scorpio, sign of its co-rule, an intensely assertive placement. More interesting still, the warrior planet makes a quincunx to Eris, named for the goddess of discord and ruled by Mars as she transits through Aries. Dwarf-planet Eris is the quintessential upstart of the solar system. She overturns the status quo and fights for the disenfranchised. At this portal, the quincunx is the closest aspect, only nine minutes away from being perfectly exact!
Eris comes to break women free of the shackles of toxic shame like those borne by the widow with a past in the Sabian symbol. This Eclipse invites the female gender to release other women and ourselves from anachronistic, judgmental labels.
We can retrieve our work of self-healing, mindfully deepen our love for all women, seek to fortify our connections with those of the female gender, and start a project related in some way to feminine empowerment. Particularly Sagittarian areas are: law, education, business, motivation, inspiration, travel, lending and borrowing, prophecy, diplomacy, light beings, and ancestral traditions.
Eclipses can work in unexpected ways, and this one has a strong presence of Uranus, planet of surprises. If you identify as an agent of Eris and feel moved to upset the status quo in some way (as do I, who will be teaching in an all-women retreat for the Sacred Feminine at this Eclipse), it’s wise to avoid potentially incendiary encounters and as you go about your purpose. Try softening your touch with diplomacy and compassion.
As for Eclipse rituals, blessings or ceremonies, those involving goddess forces and held outdoors are particularly apt.
The Eclipse is exact at 11:43 pm (2:43 am ET), an hour that really straddles today and tomorrow.
Affirmation:
I give thanks to be an agent of feminine empowerment, here and now!
Saturday, December 4
Still in orb of last night’s Eclipse, the energy today is intense and, with Moon contacting Neptune and Jupiter—planets of inspiration, faith and light beings—today is good for consulting a medium or oracle, connecting with the angels or working on a charity or media project. We can also create publicity, music or a video related to our Eclipse ceremony or project (see yesterday’s suggestions on specific types of endeavors).
In general, inspirational and creative activities go better than business-related doings, until 9:08 pm (12:08 am ET), when Moon makes a sextile to promoter-planet Jupiter.
Affirmation:
I bless the angels that fill the world and hold us in divine vibration, now and always.
Sunday, December 5
At 3:31 am (5:31 ET), Moon enters practical Capricorn. Assertive Mars in bold Scorpio is approaching a sextile to powerful Pluto, also in the sign of the mountain goat.
This is a great day to:
- Start something new
- Take decisive action in business, finance or building construction
- Organize investments
- Consult a coach
- Work on career
- Develop a strategy to achieve goals
- Approach an elder or someone in a powerful position and ask for what you need or want
Morning is best for practical activities, evening favors spiritual practice.
Affirmation:
Infinite Intelligence guides me to act on true goals with true results now.
Monday, December 6
Happy Hanukkah!
Today’s protective, prosperous numerology of 6 combines with the sextile from directed Mars to focused Pluto, making today great for business. Moon connects with compassionate Neptune and sweet Venus, planets of kindness, bringing enchantment to our connections. These influences favor romance, empathy, PR, and communications of all kinds.
It’s wise to temper our fire. In orb of tomorrow’s square from assertive Mars to expansive Jupiter, there’s a tendency to overdo things, come on too strong, try too hard or get worked up about our viewpoints.
Things get more intense this evening, when Moon joins Pluto, planet of shadow, at 7:56 pm (10:56 ET). We can exercise, journal, self-dialogue, take a hot bath, or work on clearing ghosts from the family closet.
At 8:42, Luna goes VOC on a sextile to Pluto.
Affirmation:
I give thanks that divine light illuminates what needs to be seen for my complete healing now.
Tuesday, December 7
Morning is best for intuitive activities or independent creative endeavors. Pushy Mars in hot Scorpio squares enthusiastic Jupiter in fixed Aquarius. Our promotional instincts are fueled, but there’s a chance we might oversell, have a tantrum, or become dogmatic.
If we are mindful of these inclinations, we can direct our courage in moving past some kind of personal limit, particularly related to sales, promoting a cause or speaking our truth.
Affirmation:
My life cannot be limited, my power cannot be limited, my confidence cannot be limited.
Wednesday, December 8
Moon in sociable Aquarius makes a sextile to Sun—this morning—and to Mercury—this evening—favoring communications with friends, publishers or collaborators for a cause.
We’re still in orb of yesterday’s Mars-Jupiter square, so keep aggressive impulses in check and be extra-diplomatic.
Affirmation:
Angels and spirit guides, please direct my assertiveness in harmonious, kind, and effective ways now.
Thursday, December 9
At 2:00 am (5:00 ET), Moon in Aquarius goes VOC on a square to Mars.
At 6:53 am (9:53 ET), Luna enters Pisces. The rest of the day favors working on or promoting something creative, doing esoteric study, connecting with light beings, media production, spiritual activities, and campaigning for a humanitarian or spiritual cause.
Affirmation:
I release people and outcomes and trust the angels that protect me now.
Friday, December 10
Moon in Pisces sextiles dynamic Uranus. Do something intuitive, creative or compassionate that requires nerve. Make a new dream board, go on a shamanic journey, attend spiritual group or gathering, work on spiritual healing or a project involving imagination or inspiration, settle disputes with friends or family, write a proposal, agreement or contract, design a house or production, clean out closets, get rid of obsolete belongings. Avoid substance abuse or potentially chaotic surroundings.
At 5:35 pm (8:36 ET), Moon reaches her Second Quarter, reminding us to pause and review our focus on things begun or seeded at last week’s Eclipse New Moon.
At 19-20 Pisces, the Sabian symbol for this lunation says:
A TABLE SET FOR AN EVENING MEAL. … in the end and at the appointed time the individual’s needs will be met among those [who form part of one’s]… spiritual (or biological) web of energies… a satisfying or fulfilling end to whatever one has been undertaking… NOURISHMENT of the harvest of whatever has been—during the whole life—relevant to the archetypal purpose and destiny of the soul.
At 7:50 pm (10:50 ET), Moon in psychic Pisces joins ruler Neptune. Our subconscious opens wide, we can visualize, consult guidance from the subtle realms, do spiritual practice or study. Avoid noisy or low-vibration interactions. We can do our own private spiritual mini-retreat.
Affirmation:
I praise the consolidated results that flow to me under divine law, now and always.
Saturday, December 11
Persist with a holiday marketing plan or focus on communications that matter—whether they be for finance, business, promotion, sales, love or healing.
Venus, planet of love and values, joins powerful, transformative Pluto, giving a special charge to our connections. Therapy and self-dialogue can be particularly effective, as can intentional communication with a significant other or participation in a women’s group or project. We can also grow an investment or get the support of someone in a position of power.
Mercury the messenger sextiles expansive Jupiter, a great aspect for study, teaching, foreign contacts and promotion for business or a noble cause.
Spiritual, creative, romantic and social activities go best this morning, while Moon is finishing her transit through sweet Pisces.
At 1:46 pm (4:46 ET), Luna enters dynamic Aries. We can push to finish work or take daring action, although patience and diplomacy won’t come easy.
Affirmation:
I release perfectionism and move in whatever ways I can, here and now.
Sunday, December 12
At 5:56 am (8:56 ET), Moon in restless Aries joins Chiron, creating great energy for self-healing of our emotional and physical body.
At 8:50 am (11:50 ET), Moon sextiles practical Saturn. With the planet of work transiting Aquarius, this is particularly good for research, buying books and Christmas presents, or organizing our bookshelves, study plans, family events or people-oriented activities.
Afternoon and evening are nice for having an adventure.
Affirmation:
Angels of fun, open my heart to enjoyment, now and throughout this day.
Monday, December 13
We get a shift as two planets change signs: assertive Mars leaves intense Scorpio and enters sociable Sag, and messenger Mercury leaves Sag and enters practical Capricorn. The combination favors negotiation, well-structured business situations, and things involving legalities.
With Moon in assertive Aries in trine to Sun in visionary Sagittarius, morning is great for doing something bold: go on an adventure, launch a marketing plan, connect with a new group, or organize a holiday party or trip.
At 3:01 pm (6:01 ET), Moon squares Pluto, planet of shadows. We can take a break and reconnect with others an hour later, when she contacts sweet Venus, blessing our personal, family and financial communications. With Moon in hot Aries, this may be a lustful or at least a sparky connection.
Work, act and love before 6:52 pm (9:52 ET), when Moon goes VOC on a sextile to Jupiter, making for a fun if not-so-productive evening.
Affirmation:
I give thanks for the amazing contacts that light beings are making with humanity now!
Tuesday, December 14
This is a great day for applying a new approach in business, for investments or to enjoying life—thanks to Moon in abundant Taurus and today’s pioneering numerology of 5. This is also a creative combination, particularly for design or music.
With a trine from Moon to Mercury in executive Capricorn this morning, we can make headway in communications for work, business or finance.
Identify what really matters and take care of it before 8:36 pm (11:36 ET), when Moon squares demanding Saturn—a dreary, guilt-tripping aspect that’s followed by Moon’s conjunction to rebel Uranus—not propitious for cooperation. Meditate, pray, or watch a funny movie.
Affirmation:
Guardian Angel, please light my flame of inner joy and keep it burning, now and always.
Wednesday, December 15
Today’s numerology of 6, favorable for money and affectional ties, accents Moon’s exaltation in Taurus.
Enjoy a meal with family or love-object, do business, take care of money, make an investment, lease or rent property, take on new staff, set up a new business, work on something involving stability, security, protection, home affairs or banking.
At 5:21 pm (8:21 ET), Moon sextiles Neptune, planet of enchantment. Go out with someone new (or renew a flame), enjoy art, send someone flowers, make solid progress on something creative, move on your dreams.
Affirmation:
Infinite good fills my path, and good is all I’m moving towards now!
Thursday, December 16
The first part of the day is excellent for results in business, creativity and people connections. Moon exalted in abundant Taurus connects with the two most fortunate of planets: ruler Venus and lucky Jupiter.
This is the perfect time to have a holiday get-together, a winter picnic or brunch in lovely surroundings, or, to take care of money, make an investment, close a deal, set up a new business, rent or lease property, hold a holiday bazaar, or open a new bank account, or, to work on self-esteem, reach out to dear ones, kindle a flame of romance.
The most productive and joyful time is before 12:43 pm (3:43 ET), when Moon enters loquacious Gemini. After that we can get caught up on correspondence or messaging, give a presentation, find a shortcut, make sales calls, share ideas, or purchase computer and phone equipment.
People connections go best before 5:56 pm (8:56 ET), when sensitive Moon opposes brazen Mars. This evening, keep a low profile—write affirmations, do crossword puzzles, bless your car. Most of all, avoid irritating interactions, save negotiations for another day, and steer clear of an unnecessary argument.
Affirmative car blessing:
Divine love surrounds this car and angels fill all roads before us, now and always.
Friday, December 17
With a sextile from Moon in loquacious Gemini to wounded healer Chiron in Aries, sign of I AM, morning is great for scheduling therapy and developing constructive self-dialogue. At 9:57 am (12:57 ET), Luna trines Saturn the builder, strengthening us to organize our papers or a project we wish to finish at tomorrow’s Full Moon.
We can make a business trip, follow through on connections and sales calls, write cards and letters, obtain and sign a contract, refine travel plans. We’re still in Eclipse season and on the portal of tomorrow’s Full Moon, so avoid doing anything drastic.
Affirmation:
My words are not just ideas, my words create what I speak under divine law now!
Saturday, December 18
With Moon in verbal Gemini in tension with intense Pluto and intuitive Neptune, and Gemini’s ruler Virgo in square to Chiron, the wounded healer, the first part of the day is best for therapy, self-dialogue, prayer and other low-profile activities involving words, intuition and healing.
Moon’s ruler Mercury squares touchy Chiron, so communications with others are apt to go better after today’s Full Moon, which is exact at 8:36 pm (11:36 ET), and can overload our emotional circuits.
Venus stations to go retrograde, turning our love-energy inward towards the self. In the meantime, Chiron, asteroid of healing, stations to go direct. This combination is very propitious to begin a new cycle or project of self-healing.
After this, consolidate something related to communications or reach out to others for work or warmth before 10:02 pm (1:02 am ET), when Moon goes VOC.
At 27-28 Gemini, the Sabian symbol for tonight’s lunation says:
THROUGH BANKRUPTCY SOCIETY GIVES THE OVERBURDENED INDIVIDUAL THE OPPORTUNITY TO BEGIN AGAIN. A release from unbearable pressures, freeing one for new tasks… LIBERATION FROM THE PAST.
Affirmation:
I exclude myself from any limiting label placed on me in the past or present.
Sunday, December 19
This is a day of inspiration and self-healing.
Moon is now in Cancer, opening intuition and strengthening the emotional energy of the still-active Full Moon. As Venus turns retrograde and Chiron goes direct, yesterday’s healing Moon continues strong.
Although Moon makes tense aspects that can fuel Cancer’s hyper-sensitivity, a sextile from Sun to confident Jupiter reaffirms our radiance and brings opportunities in sales, promotion, education and inspiration. Our connections take on a special glow. Finish a production, get the message out, knock on a key door.
Affirmation:
Guardian Angel, please activate the healing codes in my mind and body now.
Monday, December 20
Mercury the messenger in goal-oriented Capricorn trines Uranus, planet of freedom, in Taurus, sign of abundance. This aspect sharpens our acuity and is great for research, particularly related to business and practical things.
Also, we have courage to explore new ideas and express ourselves, while an evening trine from Moon to Neptune in Pisces accents our psychic powers and harmonizes contacts with family and partners.
Affirmation:
My inner light attracts the perfect people for the current phase of my life now.
Tuesday, December 21
Happy Solstice! Merry Yule!
Sun at 0° Capricorn marks the beginning of winter, triggering the Aries point and a new solar year. We can write down our intentions and invoke the spirit of the newborn Sun to hold us to our divine purpose in the year ahead.
The first part of the day is great for connecting with family and loved ones. Moon in maternal Cancer opposes sweet Venus, fueling compassion and charm. In orb of Saturn’s final and exact square to Uranus of the year (exact overnight on December 23-24), we can choose people who support our individuality or what makes us different.
At 1:54 pm (4:54 ET), Moon enters Leo. This placement can be fun, but the Saturn-Uranus square is a more serious energy. The combination favors committed romantic relationships, connecting with one’s descendants and creative work.
Affirmation:
Newborn Solar Child, please come and imbue me with your strength to persist in my purpose, now and always!
Wednesday, December 22
This morning, Moon in energetic Leo trines wounded-healer Chiron, great for therapy, journaling and inner dialogue to heal the child within. Such practices will help us get an emotional footing for the rest of the day and week, during which strict Saturn in square to rebellious Uranus can be quite stressful.
And, Moon will be activating this square the rest of today. Contacts with others may not be easy. We can get in touch with our unique calling and organize to move on it. The energy of today’s Master Number 22 can make our work and messages reach the masses.
Affirmation:
I invite my higher self to serve and prosper through me now!
Thursday, December 23
Again, Moon in Leo makes aspects that accent her creative prowess, this time to Pluto the transformer and Venus the beautifier.
Shop for an unusual, gourmet Christmas menu or direct your love in a children’s cause.
Strict Saturn perfects his square to wild Uranus at 11:17 pm (2:17 am ET). Now is a good time to strategize for freedom within our holiday plans, like an alternative celebration of some kind, a get-together with friends, or having a Plan B in case a family gathering gets oppressive.
Whatever we do, it will be easier to get the results we expect before 10:39 pm (1:39 am ET), when Moon goes VOC.
Affirmation:
Guardian Angel, please dissolve false structures and renew the light patterns in my being and life now.
Friday, December 24
At 12:24 am (3:24 ET), Moon enters focused Virgo.
This morning we get a trine from Sun in ambitious Capricorn to Moon in diligent Virgo. Use it for last minute business, food preparations or gift wrapping. This will free tomorrow morning for self-healing, inner practice and—if we’re up for it—deep connections.
This trine is also good for planning our investments for the New Year or—with Virgo Moon’s taste for service—for donating to a Christmas drive or calling someone to show we care.
This evening, Moon contacts Saturn and Uranus: connect with intentions for the year’s new direction and touch base with those who encourage or support them.
Affirmation:
Divine love manifests in empowering connections and I allow myself to receive them now.
Saturday, December 25
Merry Christmas!
Moon in Virgo helps us keep our feet on the ground on this otherwise intense day that spotlights healing, particularly self-healing.
Restless Mars trines wounded healer Chiron. Childhood wounds may be triggered. Physical activity is a great way to release this energy; self-care can include some sort of exercise. If we’re visiting we can offer to walk the dog or help with the dishes, or invite someone to go on a walk to check out Christmas window dressings or to dance with us in the living room.
We can also take healing action on someone else’s behalf: volunteer in a soup kitchen, visit the elderly or hug the local trees.
The kind of connections that won’t cut it are superficial ones. Besides the Mars-Chiron trine, Venus perfects her second conjunction to Pluto this month. With the love-planet in retrograde, we can look beyond our fixation with the approval of others and give love to ourselves, find a new level of honesty in relationships and strengthen our true connections. Also, we can reach agreements that produce financial profits. If discomfort or crisis arises, don’t get alarmed. Love your way through the shadows. It will end up precipitating rebirth of some kind.
Afternoon and evening are the best times for work and connecting with others, with the exception of 3:00-5:00 pm (6:00-8:00 pm ET), when Moon’s opposition to Neptune can cause confusion or excessive imbibing. During these two hours, creative visualization, dream yoga, prayers for healing and contact with light beings go well.
Affirmation:
I am divinely authorized to receive what I visualize and focus on desirable outcomes now.
Sunday, December 26
Joyous Kwanzaa!
At 12:39 am (3:39 ET), Moon goes VOC. Save key actions and connections for after 7:24 am (11:24 ET), when she enters Libra.
With Mercury in sextile to Neptune, the rest of the day is great for spiritual connections, a reconciliation, and enjoying music and media activities, particularly before 6:24 pm (9:24 ET), when Moon reaches her Fourth Quarter. Then she’ll begin her week of rest and wind-down.
At 5-6 Libra, the Sabian symbol for this lunation says:
A MAN WATCHES HIS IDEALS TAKING A CONCRETE FORM BEFORE HIS INNER VISION… The need to visualize clearly one’s ideals to make them truly effectual.
Affirmation:
My clear vision opens a new quantum space for me, here and now.
Monday, December 27
If you need to focus on work, this morning is good for that.
Otherwise, we can use the trine from Moon in able Libra to executive Saturn to unclutter, beautify our space, or organize plans for holiday connections with family and friends.
Today’s numerology of 11 opens a portal when angels can more easily use humanity’s love vibration to lift the planetary frequency.
Affirmation:
I center in love and the angels use my heart-connection now.
Tuesday, December 28
Today’s numerology of 1 may move us to start something but the planets aren’t their most harmonious.
Feisty Mars makes a quincunx to rebel Uranus, fueling impatience and a feeling of “my way or the highway”. On the upside, we can gain clarity to declutter our lives, and release excessive concern for the approval or opinions of others.
With Moon in Libra, sign of beautification, in square to ruler Venus and Pluto the transformer, morning is good for clearing out and beautifying our space—physically, emotionally, and energetically—for a new cycle of self-esteem and relational happiness.
We can also declutter our inbox and photograph collection, releasing messages and images that don’t resonate with our current activities and intentions. Look at what may be holding you back and create strategies for “50 Ways to Leave Limiting Situations.”
Moon goes VOC at 1:11 pm (4:11 ET), entering Scorpio just a few minutes later at 1:16 pm (4:16 ET).
Save key people connections for tomorrow night or Thursday.
Affirmation:
Spirit Guides, please strengthen me to release distractions from my true purpose now.
Wednesday, December 29
Mercury the messenger makes a wee-hour conjunction to Venus in pragmatic Capricorn, favoring business correspondence and connections. These transits are helpful very early, but at 7:51 am the charm is diluted as Moon in intense Scorpio opposes erratic Uranus, followed by squares from Moon to stern Saturn and from Sun to wounded-healer Chiron.
Save key actions and contacts for after 4:22 pm (7;22 ET), when assertive Mars makes an excellent sextile to constructive Saturn. Focused actions can generate lasting results. The Moon calms down this evening, making a late trine to sensitive Neptune that opens us to guidance from dreams and the subtle realm and facilitating contact with our deep feelings.
Affirmation:
I rest in a realm of love that guides me and renews me now.
Thursday, December 30
Morning is great for research and people connections, with Moon in deep Scorpio making sextiles to sweet Venus, loquacious Mercury and ruler Pluto, all three in constructive Capricorn. These transits facilitate deep thinking and heartfelt interchanges leading to lasting commitment or improvement of some kind—in business, study, finances, or love. We can connect with our deeper feelings, transmute them, and reach out to someone who matters or who can make a difference.
Use these influences early, since at 9:10 am (12:10 ET), Moon goes VOC. Now we can enjoy a hot tub, make love, or take a break or nap until 3:08 pm (6:08 ET), when Moon enters Sagittarius. She squares ruler Jupiter, accenting her gifts of enthusiasm, spontaneity, good-fortune diplomacy. Go on an adventure, connect with friends, take or give a class, socialize, throw a party, meet new people, spend time outdoors.
Avoid the Sagittarian pitfalls of sermonizing, carelessness, or overdoing things.
Affirmation:
I lean back and allow others to follow their own guidance now.
Friday, December 31
Moon in gregarious Sag fuels our festive spirit. Her late-morning sextile to structured Saturn is great for New Year’s preparations, such as straightening the house, doing last-minute shopping, making a list of people we can send warm wishes to, and setting our New Year’s intentions. If you have work, it’s also a great aspect for negotiation, closing a deal, sales, teaching, promotion and sharing inspirational messages.
At 12:01 pm (3:01 ET), Moon joins pushy Mars, a potentially stressful connection. For the next two hours, we can keep a low profile and avoid crowded places, belligerent exchanges, and if possible, taking the wheel.
By late afternoon, Sag’s good cheer prevails anew and can make for fun celebrations—at home, in nature or at a fancy restaurant.
Affirmation:
Angels of love, fill us with your healing light and strengthen positive connections around the world now.

Tim Loftus says
Dear Crystal,
First, thank you for what you do. I have enjoyed Daykeeper’s offerings since your mother, Maya, was at the helm. I will always be grateful for Maya’s wisdom and that which you and Susan carry forward to share.
I was a little surprised at your take on Rudhyar’s reinterpretation of the Sabian symbol for the upcoming solar eclipse degree – 13 degrees Sag. (i.e., the forecast for Dec. 3) I acknowledge that everyone is free to have their perspective, but I also felt that your interpretation seemed quick to take offence at the use of “widow” in the symbol as if it were meant, consciously or not, to diminish women. Rudhyar is as erudite and respectful as they come and he makes clear that he reinterprets “widow” to be representative of mankind. (BTW, the symbol, “A widow’s past is brought to light.” is the product of Marc E. Jones and Elsie Wheeler’s collaboration, yes?) To interpret a form of the feminine – widow – as a symbol of mankind seems appropriate in my humble opinion. Without women, indeed the divine feminine, we would not have mankind and it will take women in ascendancy going forward for (wo)mankind to achieve the next level of humanity. Furthermore, I think the overarching point of Rudhyar’s reinterpretation of this degree symbol is that even in a new beginning, we humans are not free of whatever karma we’ve accumulated in the previous cycle(s). Some, most, or all of that karma will have to be dealt with in order to truly use a new cycle for evolution. Forgive me for I’m now “preaching to the choir!”
The term “retribution” may be a bit harsh, but for me at least, it is easy to see the neutrality, gender and otherwise, in Rudhyar’s point. Thus, it might be best to accept Rudhyar’s story in its totality rather than impose a more contemporary reaction on a piece of the story. The latter choice serves only to taint the symbol and its reinterpretation rather than honor it’s higher meaning as presented by one of our elders. Until such time as someone else presents something new yet functionally equivalent to what Jones, Wheeler, and Rudhyar produced (channeled?), I see no point in denigrating their collaborative effort with surgical precision.
Respectfully yours,
Tim L.

Hi Tim, I’m certain you meant well but perhaps this is not the ideal forum for petulant and profoundly ingorant mansplaining?
I too, was a bit surprised at the vitriol expressed in the “widows past come to light” Sabian. I do not have much experience with widows or widowers.
What did I do?
Instead of jumping to conclusions (btw; “mankind”, while still unfortunately used, has not been accepted in correct/formal English speaking settings as a sexist substitute for “humankind” for some decades now.)? I educated myself!
What did I learn? Whooo boy, there is a HUGE difference between what widows and widowers experience in my research. Widows are often thrown into major financial turmoil, sometimes lose housing, often lose support and friends, are blamed for their predicament. Widows, while grieving, are often cared for, inundated with casseroles, helped with childcare, rarely in danger of homelessness, etc.
I had no idea how insanely standard the double standards were until, spurred by Crystal’s words to find out.
I assume Crystal’s words come from a place of intimite knowledge in this area, and her claims are 100% backed up. From what I’ve learned, that anger is beyond righeous and justified.
I would love for you to respect others and educate yourself instead of prosterically demanding that male supremacism be glossed over and ignored because.. reasons.
