It is with pleasure that I announce the beginning of our 15th year of publication, with some exciting changes coming up.
In looking forward to the next phases of Daykeeper, I can’t help but look back for a moment as well, to a vivid memory of sitting in the golden grass of a summer meadow in beautiful Marin County with my mother, Maya del Mar, and several other women. We were partipants in a year-long course in shamanic medicine with Connie Grauds (founder of the new Living Shaman Museum in San Francisco). As we all shared future directions and intentions, my mother and I announced our new plan: to go online with Daykeeper Journal. Within a few days, we had created the very first issue.
And haven’t looked back since! (That September 1, 2000 Daykeeper is still available… you can find the live version here.) Daykeeper has continued to evolve since that exciting day, and I want to tell you about several important changes coming right up.
First, it is with great regret that we say goodbye to Terry Lamb, who has been writing the Daily Success Guide and the Monthly Overview with such insight and grace. Terry is stepping into a brand-new venture in her own life, and we wish her every blessing. Thank you, Terry!
Terry won’t be gone entirely, though. She has spent the summer designing an amazing Astrology Basics Course which we are currently preparing for publication. In it, she distills her decades of teaching into a simple and comprehensive way to understand an astrological chart. The Astrology Basics Course will be offered exclusively through Daykeeper, and we’ll have more on this soon.
One door closes and another opens… so it is with the greatest pleasure that I welcome my dear and extremely talented sister, Crystal Pomeroy, to an expanded role at Daykeeper. Crystal will be writing the Daily Success Guide and monthly overview starting October 1. In addition to her popular lunation ceremonies here at Daykeeper, Crystal contributes regularly to several astrological and metaphysical publications, runs an ongoing healing ministry, and offers astrological consultations in Mexico City (and via Skype, for the rest of us). She is also hard at work on a second book. I am thrilled to welcome you, Crystal!
On a practical front, we are in the midst of upgrading our entire Premium subscription and payment systems. We hope to have all the pieces in place within the next week or so. If you’re currently a Premium subscriber, we’ll be sending you updates as we get everything into place. If you’re not… the process of becoming one will soon be much easier!
Thanks to all of our authors and contributors, and thanks to each and every one of you, dear readers, for making Daykeeper Journal the exceptional publication that it is. I add a special heartfelt thanks to my mother, Maya del Mar, whose astrological genius and generous spirit still guide this publication.
Here’s to another 15 years!
