Crystal's Previous Power Portal Exercises and Meditations

The Mayan magic for March centers on preparing the furrow: a space in the earth of your own creative forces to plant the seedling of your intent.

The ceremony can be used at any point during the month. Do the follow up as described below nightly through March.  

Materials

• Beeswax or earthy-green candle
• Incense, preferably copal or another natural scent
• A compass (unless you know the cardinal directions where you will do this)
• Matches
• A dream journal

Optional

• One or more seedlings (if you did last month’s exercise and have a plant in a flower pot, use those, otherwise these can be prepared as suggested in February, or purchased).
• A planter or planting space

Note: The following consecration can be done wherever your garden plot or planter is. Or, if you prefer the physical planting procedure, it can be adapted to use indoors before sleeping, as described below.  

Recall the intent or intents that you established last month at the seed blessing. I you can’t remember it or didn’t do February’s ceremony, establish and intent you wish to work for in writing.

Light your incense and present it by facing the east as you lift it with both hands in a gesture of offering and say,

This is an offering to the cosmic essences and archangels of the east.

Face the south, presenting the incense in that direction as you say,

This is an offering to the cosmic essences and archangels of the south.

Repeat this offering towards the west and finally the north.

Light your candle as you say,

This flame represents the light of Divine Sun, that shines to strengthen the new life in this and all seedlings on the planet. I invite the angels of the sunrise to come in on its rays, mobilizing my achieving will power and creative potential to support my intent so it may grow and bear the fruit of consolidated results.

Make a furrow or indenture in the earth for planting your seedling, as you do say words like:

I bless the Mother Earth, who receives this new life, holding and nurturing it forth in fullness. As it grows, so will my intent come into being.

Plant your seedling, saying as you do:

My seedling takes root and grows in the creative soil of the Mother, and the rays of the sun will bless it into fullness.

Finish by thanking the essences of the four cardinal directions and blessing the earth by putting your hands on it as you say,

This connection with the creative powers of the Mother strengthens this connection for the entire human race, and we enter into a more conscious, loving co-creative relationship with Her now.

Follow up

Keep a spiritual or dream journal at your bedside, and each night, before going to sleep, sit on the edge of your bed and do the following:

Remember your seedling (or, if you didn’t do the planting part, think of all seedlings that are now growing). Appreciate its (their) growth, send it (them) love and blessings as you affirm words like those that follow three times,

Star of the Evening, Angels of the Sunrise, while I sleep please direct the creative forces of my being so that the desire of my heart take root in them. As I awake tomorrow, may I remember any dreams you send to guide me, and may I be filled with your radiant strength to focus on my heart’s desire as it grows like these seedlings throughout the day.
