NOVEMBER 2005
Neptune
turned direct on October
26, and we see things which were built on illusion crumbling,
namely, the story of the Iraq War.
When Neptune made that turn, it began its third and last push through
the middle degrees of Aquarius. Those middle degrees of a sign gather
power, somewhat like a full moon. Those middle degrees are the crux
of a transit.
Well, you might guess the timing. Neptune began traversing the middle
degrees of Aquarius in March of 2003! And it will be finished with
those degrees by January 2007, although one stage occurs in March
2006.
Neptune does have to do with propaganda, spreading illusions. This
is particularly true in the U.S. chart, for Neptune is in the 9th
house of propaganda, politics, and foreign adventures.
Right now Pluto is squaring that Neptune, bringing its reality to
the fore. Those are slow-moving planets, and this is the first time
in U.S. history that this first square has occurred. The conjunction
which set this square in motion occurred in that violent and rebellious
year of 1968. That means that the energy of that conjunction, of
that time, is now breaking through into society.
This is what many of us have been waiting for.
Yesterday, November 1, we had
an appropriate historical event in the Senate, a closed-door session
called by Senator Harry Reid, the Democratic leader, calling for
a real Congressional investigation of the lies surrounding the Iraq
War.
But the planets do work together, and coincidences are associated
with events. Yesterday Juno turned retrograde, just about the time
the Senate closed its doors.
As it turned, Juno conjoined the U.S. Mars which, at 22 Gemini,
squares the U.S. Neptune. Gemini is the sign of the Twins, and I
have often thought of the U.S. Mars as referring to the two-party
system in the U.S. Indeed, the Mars-Neptune square defines politics
in the U.S.—full of idealism, illusion, denial, deception,
and argument. A real challenge!
Pluto, then, is opposing Juno and the U.S. Mars at this time. Showdown
time. Time to be real. Juno is associated with relationships, and
with abuse.
So in steps Harry Reid, and says, “Enough. We are fed up with
stonewalling and obfuscating. We want a real investigation, and
we want it now.”
Harry Reid’s natal Neptune conjoins that of the U.S. Senator
Reid can truly be the Democrats’ point man, as Pluto now squaring
his own Neptune infuses it with power. He was born on December 2,
1939 in Searchlight, Nevada, a propitious birthplace.
Last night we also had an extraordinarily powerful New Moon in Scorpio,
time for rebirth. The Senate session occurred just at the end of
the old moon, which is the most visionary time of the month.
Indeed, evolution has its program. And it is much more universal
than any of us can begin to imagine. Let us trust the Great Spirit.
