Ralph Nader is back on the scene, and looking at his chart shows that this is not just a flash in the pan. He and the times are in synch again.
Ralph Nader is touring the U.S. selling his new book, Crashing the Party: Taking on the Corporate Government in an Age of Surrender, and its like a triumphal tour of a winner. Hes the man of the hour. Everywhere there are overflow crowds and eager audiences. Hes now invited to appear on Meet the Press, Nightline, and all kinds of TV and radio shows, most of whom wouldnt touch him before Enron.
"Hes a rock star," said a bookstore owner, as reported in "The Nation" of February 25 by John Nichols. The store owner had to move Naders reading to an auditoriumand still had to turn away 400 people. He said, "I have a hard time thinking of any other political figure at this point who would draw this kind of crowd, especially the young people."
Book signings and "People Have the Power" rallies are packing them in. One event in Austin, TX drew 5000 people. Patti Smith, Naders supporter, says that America is starting to understand what Ralph has been trying to tell them all these years. "People dont trust Washington, but they trust Ralph Nader."
Maybe its because he tells the truth. Maybe its because hes spent nearly forty years effectively fighting corporations on the side of a healthier environment and increased social justice. Ralph does not run his life by polls; rather, principles motivate him.
Ralph Nader has spent his life fighting corporate corruption, exploitation, and scamming of the public. And now we are all getting a peek at the dangers which he has seen so clearly. His time has come.
Transpluto is bringing resurrection to Ralph Nader, accompanied by Mars, the challenger.
Ralphs chart shows a complete new birth. He is present to meet that challenge, and progressions show that his new seeds can only grow stronger through the years. First of all, he has just completed a three-year resurrection process, where his very core is being rejuvenated by a combination of Transpluto and Mars, very potent. And in Taurus, this transforming energy is grounded and practical as well.
Then that core spot, his nadir at 24 Taurus, was the location of the May 2000 Jupiter-Saturn conjunction, which set in motion a 20-year grounding cycle for all of us. For Ralph, that means creating his foundations in a more secure and solid way than hes ever known.
From the nadir, theres no place to go but up, and going up in a chart means going out to meet the world, to achieve, to fulfill ones niche in the collective. Saturn and Jupiter are the planets which describe that niche. And transiting Saturn and Jupiter are now moving up in Ralphs chart. Saturn, planet of destiny, will not reach the top of his chart until 2014. From now until then, Ralphs public role is growing.
Ralph Nader is intimately connected with the U.S. Aquarian Moon expression, which means the peoples aspirations for a better society.
Ralph Nader was born on Feb. 27, 1934 at 4:52 a.m. in Winsted, CT. His Sun is in compassionate Pisces, his Moon in sunny Leo, and Aquarius was rising when he was born, giving him a concern with society, and a feeling of being different.
Saturn in Aquarius is in Ralphs first house. It is a major part of his personal identity. He always carries a strong feeling of social responsibility. Now get this: Ralphs progressed Saturn, at 28 Aquarius, is exactly on the U.S. natal Moon and the U.S. progressed Sun, which together are beginning a new 360-year Aquarian cycle for the United States! (See Archives for February 2002.)
One might say that the U.S. is going into its Aquarian Age guided by Ralph Naders sense of responsibility. This degree, 28 Aquarius, is also joined by Ralphs progressed midheaven, which shows his current goals in the world. And 28 Aquarius is also the degree of Ralphs Solar Return descendant, which shows how he meets others this year.
In addition, Ralph Naders progressed Moon is in Aquarius, and will transit through 28 Aquarius in December 2002 and January 2003. This is the degree of the U.S. Moon, which shows the Aquarian nature of the U.S. people. The people and Ralph will be particularly tuned into one another as their Moons conjunct as we enter 2003.
(The last time Ralphs progressed Moon was in Aquarius, he was instigating and helping Congress create the EPA, OSHA, the Freedom of Information Act, and the Consumer Product Safety Commission. Ralph was also instrumental in the passage of the National Traffic and Motor Vehicle Safety Act, the Clean Air Act, and the Clean Water Act. He is an attorney, and knows how to write legislation.)
These connections show that Ralph Nader is totally involved with the U.S. at this time, and especially during this coming year. As we move into this long Aquarian cycle of the U.S., we have Bush and Cheney at the helm. But we also have Ralph Naders conscience (Saturn) guiding us.
Thus, Ralph is connected all the way with the great historical rebirth of the U.S. which is now occurring in the sign of Aquarius. In the last issue of Daykeeper, we saw the Bush and Cheney Aquarian vision of the U.S. as a militarized technological dictatorship.
Ralph shows us another vision. His vision is one where corporations are socially responsible partners in society. This is truly a revolutionary and Aquarian vision. And yet, it is based on the reality of national needs--the dominant business tradition of the U.S. Pluto in Capricorn, as well as on the need for an ethical code of the U.S. Sagittarius Ascendant.
Ralphs vision is also based on his long experience with regulating corporations through government and law. He knows the system backwards and forwards. Perhaps the title of his newest book is a good description of what he can do for the nation: "Crashing the Party: Taking on the Corporate Government in an Age of Surrender."
Stay tuned as this story unfolds.
