Well, the US Department of Justice, at any rate; we’ll see how the real thing plays out in time.
Yes, he’s done it again – Donald J. Trump has set another record! Not content with being the first US President to lose the popular vote in both elections, the first to be twice impeached, the first to incite an insurrection against his own government, the first to be found liable in a sexual assault and defamation case, and the first to be indicted on state criminal charges, The Donald proudly becomes the first former prez to be indicted on federal criminal charges as well.
We got it straight from the horse’s mouth, in a posting on his hilariously-named Truth Social site at 7:21 PM EDT on 8 June 2023. As usual, Trump likes to scoop himself (if you recall, he was the first to disclose the FBI search of his Mar-a-Lago residence last August, which led to this indictment, exactly eight months to the day). And also as usual, Trump spun the charge to portray himself as the victim in the situation.
Set for Palm Beach, Florida, the chart features 7 Sagittarius rising, within orb of asteroid d’Arrest 9133 at 6 Sagittarius and Trump’s natal asteroid Troemper 28130 at 2 Sagittarius, also squaring transit Troemper at 3 Pisces. That alone tells the tale, as d’Arrest indicates actual arrest, detention, charges filed or indictments, and Troemper is our celestial referent for Trump. But there is, of course, much more.
Like the Sun at 17 Gemini exactly conjoined Trump’s natal asteroid Themis 24, named for the Greek goddess of justice. Talk about apt! Not to be outdone, transit Themis at 11 Taurus, conjoined by her Roman counterpart and cohort asteroid Justitia 269 at 7 Taurus, squares Trump’s natal Pluto at 10 Leo, planetary ruler of criminality and devastating outcomes. Rounding out this field is the Moon at 23 Aquarius, which earlier that day conjoined Trump’s natal Justitia at 18 Aquarius.
Setting on the 7 Gemini Descendant is asteroid Nemesis 128 at 10 Gemini, symbolizing ruin and destruction, often self-created. Natal Nemesis at 16 Cancer is exactly squared by transit asteroid Records at 16 Libra, which, moreover, is at station, an embedded still point in the sky around which the chart revolves. And records are the star of this story, in the indictments issued for Trump’s improper possession and retention of classified documents, violating the Presidential Records Act of 1978.
While the indictment is sealed as of this writing, we do know that there are seven charges, relating to violations of the Espionage Act, conspiracy to obstruct, and making false statements. That’s a virtual litany of Neptune keywords, which includes espionage, conspiracy, and lying in its bailiwick. Transit Neptune at 27 Pisces has been squaring Trump’s Sun for years, now moving off, but with this parting gift.
And currently conjoined by asteroid Jackschmitt 7749, a celestial rendering of Special Counsel Jack Smith (with “Schmitt” a German version of “Smith”) at 21 Pisces, we see the planet which also rules prisons and incarceration passing the baton to the man whose investigation has led to these charges. Natal Neptune at 5 Libra is currently being hit by an exact sesquiquadrate from transit Uranus at 20 Taurus, and while the indictment was not unexpected, it certainly is disruptive, both Uranus keywords. Natal asteroid Jackschmitt at 15 Aquarius was also transited by the Moon earlier that same day.
Just for good measure, the cosmos shows us asteroid Lie 26955 at 1 Gemini, conjoined transit Nemesis and the Descendant, defining once again deception as the issue at hand, as on more than one occasion Trump falsely asserted that he had returned all classified material in his possession.
There are other markers of the peril in which Trump finds himself. An ongoing quadruple conjunction of Saturn, asteroid Karma 3811, Damocles 5335 and Troemper remains in effect, with Troemper and Damocles, that doom hanging overhead about to descend at any moment, now exact at 3 Pisces. Apparently, that moment has come. Saturn at 7 Pisces suggests punishment is in the offing, and Karma at 9 Pisces indicates that payment is due for prior transgressions. All of these square transit Nemesis/Lie/Descendant and rest on the fulcrum of a T-Square with natal Troemper at 2 Sagittarius, defining just for whom the bell tolls.
Also of note, asteroid Palma 372, for Palm Beach, Florida, Trump’s current home town, closely conjoins the Sun from 18 Gemini, making Palm Beach the focus (Sun) of the day. This pair is squared by asteroid Miames 27519 at 20 Virgo, for Miami, the venue where the indictment was registered.
Lastly, the Moon at 23 Aquarius exactly opposes Hybris 430 at 23 Leo, traveling with asteroid Hazard 9305 at 26 Leo. Hybris is named for the Greek goddess of prideful arrogance, and the source of our word “hubris,” meaning excessive pride or dangerous self-confidence, defying the divine order. In Greek myth, Hybris sets up mortals for a fall, encouraging them to overreach, and tag-teams with Nemesis, who provides retribution for their transgressions, and it’s stunning to find both asteroids so prominent in this chart, one with the Moon, the other on the Ascendant. Here we see Hybris linked with Hazard, defined as a danger or jeopardy, putting something at risk; in this case, that would be Trump’s freedom. Hybris and Hazard cluster on Trump’s natal 29 Leo Ascendant, affecting how others see him, but remain in his Twelfth House, ruling incarceration.
It’s been a long time coming, but we’re finally seeing those wheels of justice grinding, slowly, but ever so finely.
