Virginia Reels: Astrology of the Ginni Thomas Text Controversy

By Alex Miller

On March 24, 2022, Washington Post journalists Bob Woodward and Robert Costa reported on text messages sent in November 2020 from Virginia “Ginni” Thomas, wife of Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas, to Mark Meadows, former President Trump’s then Chief of Staff, exhorting him to do anything necessary to overturn the results of the 2020 election and keep Donald Trump in office.  Sent days to weeks after the loss, Thomas deluged Meadows with false information, conspiracy theories, and strategies for reversing the apparent defeat.

The text messages, 29 in all, were sent at a time when Trump allies were determined to take the case to the Supreme Court (where Thomas’ husband is an Associate Justice), and they form part of a cache of records which were handed over by Mark Meadows to the January 6 Committee investigating the Capitol Insurrection.  Trump attempted to block the release of these records on the grounds of an executive privilege he no longer possesses after having left office, a suit which the Supreme Court smacked down 8-1.  The dissenting Justice voting in Trump’s favor, no surprise, was Clarence Thomas, whose wife’s texts were part of the evidence proving guilt and complicity in the riots.

The tabulation of votes in key battleground states had barely begun when Thomas texted Meadows on November 5, alleging Q-Anon type conspiracy theories, linking to a YouTube video from far-right former State Department official and conspiracy theorist Steve Pieczenik with the title “TRUMP STING w CIA Director Steve Pieczenik, The Biggest Election Story in History, QFS-BLOCKCHAIN.”  Thomas prefaced the link by texting, “I hope this is true; never heard anything like this before, or even a hint of it. Possible???  Watermarked ballots in over 12 states have been part of a huge Trump & military white hat sting operation in 12 key battleground states,” Thomas continued, summing up the video’s content.

On November 10, just a week after the election itself and three days after the win was finally called for Biden, Ginni Thomas texted Meadows, imploring :  “Help This Great President stand firm, Mark!!! … You are the leader, with him, who is standing for America’s constitutional governance at the precipice. The majority knows Biden and the Left is attempting the greatest Heist of our History.“

Two weeks later, the pair exchanged texts again, with Thomas writing, “I can’t see Americans swallowing the obvious fraud. Just going with one more thing with no frickin consequences… the whole coup and now this… we just cave to people wanting Biden to be anointed? Many of us can’t continue the GOP charade,” to which Meadows replied that he was on the case:  “This is a fight of good versus evil. Evil always looks like the victor until the King of Kings triumphs. Do not grow weary in well doing. The fight continues. I have staked my career on it. Well at least my time in DC on it.”

Their correspondence wound down as things became bleaker for Trump’s cause, with challenge after challenge overruled by the courts for lack of evidence, but flared again just days after the January 6 Insurrection, when Thomas expressed herself disgusted by VP Mike Pence’s unwillingness to exceed his constitutional brief and countermand the certification of the election.  “We are living through what feels like the end of America. Most of us are disgusted with the VP and are in a listening mode to see where to fight with our teams. Those who attacked the Capitol are not representative of our great teams of patriots for DJT!! Amazing times. The end of Liberty.”

In January, 2021, Thomas took to Facebook to promote the “Stop the Steal” rally that preceded the storming of the U.S. Capitol building; she further admits to attending the event at the ellipse, but says she didn’t follow the crowd to the Capitol.  Her husband is currently hospitalized for a non-COVID-related respiratory infection, from which he is expected to recover.

Astrology of Ginni Thomas texts with Mark Meadows
A fated threat from communications with Mark Meadows is prefigured in Thomas’ birth chart by a natal conjunction of Mercury with asteroids Karma, Damocles, and Marc

Born Virginia Lamp, Ginni is Thomas’ second wife; married in 1987, when he was still chairman of the EEOC, she went on to a career in conservative activism after her husband’s nomination in 1989 to the United States Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit.  After his elevation to the US Supreme Court in 1991, with a confirmation made infamous by the allegations of sexual harassment made by aide Anita Hill, Ginni became a leader in conservative circles, working for House Republican Conference Chairman Dick Armey, then as White House liason for conservative think-tank the Heritage Foundation during the George W. Bush administration. Over the years, the Thomases have weathered many charges of conflict of interest between her work as a conservative lobbyist and his Supreme Court position, but maintain that they keep their work lives separate, and do not discuss details.

Born 23 February 1957 (no time available), Ginni Thomas’ birth chart displays several key factors which highlight her journey to this point, where she may become a subpoenaed witness regarding the insurrection and attempts to illegally overturn the 2020 election.

The Sun at 4 Pisces conjoins asteroids Juno and Icarus at 3 and 8 Pisces.  Juno is named for the Roman goddess of marriage, and its conjunction with the Sun shows her choice of life partner as pivotal to her biography and self-identify.  Icarus with the Sun suggests a rash, recklessness nature, and one incapable of accepting and following good advice, with a tendency to plunge head-first into a situation without due regard for the consequences of her actions.  Also here is asteroid Anitahill at 2 Pisces, a point named for her husband’s accuser, with his confirmation controversy a formative experience in her life.

The Sun/Juno conjunction opposes Pluto at 29 Leo, itself conjoined asteroid America at 1 Virgo, with Venus conjunct asteroid Hera at 22 and 24 Aquarius also opposed this pairing.  Hera is named for Juno’s Greek counterpart, and with both goddesses of marriage as well as Venus, ruling partners, linked to Pluto and America, Ginni has a strong attraction (Venus) for power (Pluto), on a national scale (America), played out via her spouse (Hera/Juno).  A T-square with asteroid Achilles at 7 Sagittarius suggests a stubborn nature, one given to sulks and fumes, carrying the seeds of her own destruction within her.

Asteroid Virginia at 16 Aries is semisquare the Sun, a common placement for one’s own PNA (Personal-Named Asteroid), while asteroid Thomas at 26 Aries sextile Hera and asteroid Clara (closest to Clarence) at 20 Capricorn semisquare Juno identifies her husband.  Virginia’s conjunction with TNO Eris at 8 Aries identifies Ginni as a troublemaker, and a source of strife or discord; a square to TNO Salacia at 11 Capricorn suggests involvement with a scandal at some point, a potential in part played out in the sexual harassment issues at her husband’s confirmation, and again now with the revealing of these provocative texts.  A trine from asteroid Fanatica at 24 Sagittarius to Thomas at 26 Aries portrays her increasing involvement in rabid conservative politics after her marriage.

Ginni and Clarence Thomas' wedding, 2987
Ginni and Clarence Thomas were married in 1987; asteroid Clara (closest to Clarence) semisquare Juno and asteroid Thomas sextile Hera, named respectively for the Roman and Greek goddesses of marriage, perfectly portrays her choice of spouse

A grouping of Mars at 15 Taurus with asteroids Washingtonia and Christian, both at 8 Taurus, symbolizes her as a fighter (Mars) for traditional religious values (Christian) in DC (Washingtonia).  Thomas converted to Catholicism in 2002, and displays the zealotry of a convert.

Asteroid Themis at 0 Taurus, named for the Greek goddess of justice, bridges the gap between asteroids Thomas and Washingtonia, uniting her husband’s job title and place of work.  Asteroid Justitia, named for Themis’ Roman counterpart, appears at 4 Cancer, in trine to the Sun, and is the only point at station, turning direct three days after her birth, an indication of the importance of this energy in her biography.  Justitia also conjoins her husband’s (born 23 June 1948) natal Sun/Mercury, Venus and Justitia, at 2, 3 and 6 Cancer.

Clarence Thomas’ natal asteroid Hill is there as well, at 7 Cancer, reflecting Anita Hill, with natal asteroid Anitahill at 15 Leo semisquare the Sun and sandwiched between Pluto (sex, scandal) and Saturn (career) at 13 and 19 Leo; his Supreme Court involvement is prefigured not only by Justitia conjunct the Sun, but by asteroid Themis in trine from 6 Scorpio, also at station, turning direct the day before his birth.  Anita Hill (born 30 July 1956) has her eponymous asteroid at station at 13 Sagittarius, conjunct stationary asteroids Truth and Karma, in a Grand Trine with the Sun and asteroid Thomas, with Anitahill exactly conjoined Ginni Thomas’ natal Saturn.

Mark Meadows and the text controversy are apparent in Ginni Thomas’ nativity as well.  Thomas has a cluster of natal Mercury at 15 Aquarius with Damocles and asteroids Karma and Marc at 9, 14 and 18 Aquarius respectively, sesquiquadrate asteroid Meadows with Jupiter, at 28 and 29 Virgo.  This establishes the political connection (Jupiter) with Mark (Marc) Meadows (Meadows), in the form of text communications (Mercury), which pose a threat (Damocles) with a fated aspect (Karma).  Asteroid Nemesis, related to self-undoing and ruin, is also closely sextile Jupiter/Meadows from 28 Scorpio (though it doesn’t aspect the Mercury cluster), making the political connection with the former Chief of Staff a potential source of downfall.

Mark Meadows texts are revealing
Fervent political texts to former Trump Chief of Staff Mark Meadows, exhorting him to overturn the 2020 election results, are portrayed in the birth chart as asteroid Meadows conjunct Jupiter, ruling politics, squared asteroid Fanatica (zealotry and fanaticism), and sesquiquadrate Mercury (communications, texts) conjunct asteroid Marc; when the story broke, transit Thomas was exactly conjunct natal Jupiter/Meadows, with transit Marc squared the Sun conjunct Fanatica and inconjunct asteroid Virginia

When the story broke on March 24, 2022, transit asteroid Thomas at 28 Virgo aligned with the natal Jupiter/Meadows conjunction, underscoring their connection.  Thomas also opposes a transit Neptune/Mercury conjunction at 23 and 24 Pisces, establishing the conspiratorial nature (Neptune) of the texts (Mercury).  Transit Mars and Venus at 13 and 17 Aquarius are re-energizing the natal Mercury stellium, describing Thomas as a woman (Venus) urging her correspondent (natal Mercury) to fight (Mars).  Transit Karma at 3 Sagittarius is at station, turning retrograde two days later, and opposes transit asteroid Virginia at 1 Gemini, suggesting a comeuppance for Ginni, being called to account for her prior actions.

Remarkably, Meadows and Jupiter are again conjunct, this time at 12 and 19 Pisces, squared to Thomas’ natal Saturn at 13 Sagittarius, implying some form of punishment is in the offing.  The Sun at 3 Aries conjoins asteroid Fanatica, illuminating the fervent nature of the texts, and also TNO Salacia, evoking a scandal.  Squared to asteroids Justitia with Marc at 3 and 7 Capricorn, in a T-Square with asteroid America at 9 Cancer, and sextile to Virginia, the image is of a spotlight (Sun) placed on Thomas (Virginia) and Meadows (Marc), involving a SCOTUS Justice (Justitia) in a scandal (Salacia) of national import (America).

A Grand Trine Kite pattern is formed from transit Pluto at 28 Capricorn, trined both Virginia at 1 Gemini and Thomas at 28 Virgo, opposed Mercury at 24 Pisces on the String, with the potential for the texts (Mercury) to have a devastating impact (Pluto) on Ginni Thomas (Virginia, Thomas).  Husband Clarence Thomas’ connection is reiterated with transit asteroid Themis (Justice) at 4 Pisces, exactly conjunct Ginni Thomas’s natal Sun and forming a T-Square with the transit Virginia/Karma opposition.

Clarence and Ginni Thomas
Yuck it up, folks, but remember – he who laughs last, laughs best. Ginni’s text shenanigans have just landed Clarence in a world of hurt

Already there are questions about why Clarence Thomas did not recuse himself from voting on the release of the Meadows records, when he knew his wife was involved, and calls for him to recuse himself on all further cases which might come before the SCOTUS, relating to the investigation of the January 6 Insurrection.  Some have suggested that Thomas could be impeached for his lack of judgment in ruling on a case that directly affects his family.  Although, in the current political division of the Senate, a Thomas impeachment would likely be unsuccessful in removing him from office, it would send a powerful message about reforming ethics rules in the US Supreme Court.
