Maya's July Travel Advisory

by Maya del Mar

General: July and August are excellent months for travel. Go ahead and take that vacation now! Best not to start a trip during VOC moon, because we lack direction then. It’s like setting off without a rudder. And there are many hours of VOC during these months. VOC moon during your trip is fine—just don’t expect that things will go in a preconceived way. For business travelers, make sure important meetings are timed for no VOC.

When flying, the time of setting off from the house is most relevant, but the actual time when the plane takes off into the air is almost as important. In fact, doing a chart for take-off time gives one a good fix on the purpose and character of the trip.

July 1 and 2. Couldn’t be better. Have fun!

July 3. Fine, except for VOC period from 2:06-4:16 p.m. EDT.

July 4. Excellent.

July 5. VOC all day, until 9:20 p.m.

July 6. There could be some unforeseen problem today. Otherwise it’s basically good for travel.

July 7. Moon is VOC all day. Furthermore, a Chiron aspect could mean trouble.

July 8. Fine.

July 9. Excellent except Moon goes VOC at 1:58 p.m. for the rest of the day.

July 10. This is one of those impulsive days. Pay special attention if you’re on the road. Otherwise it’s fine.

July 11. Excellent , except that Moon is VOC after 11:53 a.m. EDT.

July 12. Fine.

July 13. OK. Moon VOC after 3:21 p.m.

July 14.
Good.

July 15. For the most part, fine. However, Mercury square Juno could lead to an accident somewhere. Again, be aware.

July 16-18. We’re hanging out with the occultation of Mars by Moon during these three days. People in southern Florida can see this spectacular sight around 4:00 a.m. on the morning of July 17. In addition, some VOC moons, and a couple of iffy aspects, make these three days chancy for travel.

July 19-22. Excellent.

July 23. Moon is VOC all day until 7:42 p.m. EDT. After that we enter into several good travel days.

July 24-27. Excellent.

July 28. Today is dark-of-the-moon. This is an emotionally vulnerable time, and we often want to crawl into our cave then. In addition, Mars is stationing in the sky, and travel conditions are unstable. We also have a bit of VOC time—from 3:25 p.m. until 4:17 p.m.

July 29-31. These days are all OK for travel, but they each have some minor pitfall.

August 1. Not good.

August 2-7. Excellent.

August 8. Great travel aspects, but Moon is VOC between 5:01 a.m. and 12:03 p.m. EDT.

August 9. Like yesterday, but VOC Moon after 10:57 a.m..

August 10-11. Excellent.

August 12. Fine, except for VOC Moon after 2:35 p.m.

August 13. Excellent.

August 14. Not so good, and VOC all day besides.

August 15-16. Excellent.

August 17. Excellent, except for VOC from 10:36 a.m. until 2:52 p.m. EDT.

August 18-19. Fine.

August 20. Quick and efficient, but impulsive. Stay aware.

August 21-23. Good.

August 24. This is an accident-prone day.

August 25. Very good.

August 26. We are in VOC Moon for the entire day, as well as the vulnerable dark-of-the-moon period. Not good.

August 27. This is new moon in Virgo, and Jupiter enters Virgo. Work or study-related traveling will prosper now. Good travel conditions.

August 28. Mercury turns retrograde today, and Pluto turns direct. Very unstable. Stay put.

August 29-31. Other than a VOC time from 2:37 p.m. EDT from August 30 until 12:00 p.m. August 31, these are excellent travel days. Remember, it’s best not to start on a trip during VOC times. Moving along on it is OK.
