December has some very good travel indicators, along with some contra-indications.

For starters, for most of the month we are in the Sagittarian energy field. Sag is the quintessential travel sign. Then we have two good travel aspects which persist throughout the month—Saturn trine Uranus, and Neptune trine North Node. They feature Gemini and Aquarius, and are especially good for air travel.

Delays, however, are likely. Jupiter, the travelers’ guide, has fine travel aspects, so we do move along. But it has just turned retrograde, and that can slow us down. Gemini is a travel sign, and it now contains Saturn, associated with slowdowns. Furthermore Saturn too is retrograde, upping the obstacle level.

Mars, especially associated with automobile travel, is in Scorpio. Planets in Scorpio tend to push the limits, and invite crises, especially Mars. After December 8, Mercury, also associated with automobiles, is in Capricorn, a sign of caution. This would be fine if we didn’t have Mars in Scorpio with the urge to hit the pedal at the same time.

A big contra-indicator is the Total Solar Eclipse in Sagittarius on December 4. Major unexpected events, which disrupt the status quo, can happen around eclipses In Sag, the field of action is likely to be travel. This situation is not helped by the Full Moon in Gemini two weeks later which conjoins Saturn, planet of obstacles.

I am choosing not to travel in December, especially because of the unpredictabilities of the solar eclipse, the Scorpio Mars, and the Mercury-Chiron of December 15.

December 1. OK. There are many nice travel aspects. However, security will be a major issue and will slow things down. In addition, Moon in Scorpio can induce people to be irritable and fractious.

December 2. Morning can be good. Evening and night are accident-prone—especially risky this close to the Eclipse.

December 3-6. Don’t travel.

December 7. Moon is VOC in Capricorn until 12:54 p.m. EST. Hold off traveling until after that. Moon will enter Aquarius then, good for air travel. If you’re driving, watch that Mars this evening.

December 8. Somewhat iffy. Again, we have extra security issues. Also, Mercury is changing signs, and could be a bit unstable.

December 9. Sun conjoins powerful Pluto today. Probably OK, but somewhere there will be explosions of power which end certain conditions. Moon is VOC from 1:45 p.m. until 8:46 p.m. Starting a trip during that time is inviting surprises. But later is fine. The energy is good for traveling through tomorrow.

December 10. Excellent.

December 11. First Quarter Moon. It’s action time plus the moon squares Pluto and Saturn. Not the greatest.

December 12. Moon is VOC until 7:58 a.m. when it enters Aries. OK after that, although small glitches are likely.

December 13. Excellent.

December 14. Excellent until 12:14 p.m., when Moon goes VOC. Moon enters Taurus at 8:43 p.m., and it’s good after that.

December 15. This day could be very very good, or it could be difficult for some. If you have Mars square or conjunct Neptune, don’t travel today.

December 16-18. Excellent.

December 19. SLOW.

December 20. Good.

December 21. Moon is VOC for the entire day. Best not to embark on a trip now.

December 22. Moon in Leo aspecting Neptune and Mars speeds us on our way.

December 23-25. Excellent.

December 26. Moon is VOC until 10:53 a.m. OK to start after that, but aspects today may slow us down.

December 27. For the most part, excellent. However, somewhere tonight Scorpio Mars will get carried away. Be cautious.

December 28. Moon goes VOC at 7:15 a.m. and enters Scorpio at 1:41 p.m. OK then.

December 29. Scorpio moon is commonly irritated with traveling. Outside of that, fine.

December 30. Starting this morning is fine, but it’s even better after 4:01 p.m. when Moon enters Sagittarius.

December 31. Excellent until 8:26 p.m. OK after that, but use caution.
