JANUARY 2008
BLACK HOLE CASE STUDY
by Alex Miller-Mignone
On
Thursday, 27 December, Pakistani opposition
leader Benazir Bhutto was assassinated
as she departed a pre-election rally in Rawalpindi, headquarters
of the Pakistani army. As
she emerged from a sun roof in her
car to wave to supporters, Bhutto was shot twice in the neck and
chest by a suicide bomber who them blew himself up, killing an
additional 20 persons. The Sun at 5 Capricorn was exactly conjunct
the Black Hole at that degree, and opposed her natal Mars at 4
Cancer, also exactly conjunct a Black Hole. Transit Mars at 1
Cancer in retrograde had just crossed that point the week before,
approaching the 0 Cancer Sun, and the day before made an exact
opposition to Jupiter at 1 Capricorn, forming a T-Square with
the supermassive Black Hole at 1 Libra. Additionally, Pluto at
29 Sagittarius was moving to oppose the Sun, and Venus that day
at the Galactic Center gave notice of the loss of an important
female from the international stage, with global consequences.
Neptune at 20 Aquarius opposed her 21 Leo Pluto and made a trine
to her Saturn/Neptune conjunction at 20 and 21 Libra. Bhutto and
her staff had complained of inadequate security from the government,
and although Al Qaeda has been cited as the perpetrator, there
is a disturbing confluence of interests in their agenda and Musharraf's.
Bhutto was the sole leader of the major opposition party, which
is now in confusion just days before the projected January 8 elections,
in which she was expected to win election
as Prime Minister. Bhutto herself placed the blame for any future
assassination at the feet of Musharraf, in an October email posthumously
released by CNN. Mars' retrograde station at 12 Cancer in November
closely opposed Pakistan's 15 Capricorn natal Mars, and the transit
Mars/Jupiter opposition the day before her death squared the nation's
Sun at 2 Aries. Public protests in the aftermath of Bhutto's death
rapidly descended into rioting, and the nuclear-armed country
seems on the verge of becoming a failed state.
