Virgo Eclipse Full Moon

by Crystal Pomeroy

The power and fascination of this Eclipse Full Moon has been predicted by Maya Del Mar, in her Daily Success Guide, and its potential for transformation is being synchronistically confirmed by news now shaking the world. Maya happens to an expert in the mysterious topic of eclipses, which she has said trigger great changes in whatever direction we have been moving. In the case of this lunation, the first of a “Virgo-Pisces Eclipse series” she has predicted that the changes will be “associated with realignment and with service, including the military services”. A bit further on we will share the amazing synchronicities now in the headlines.

From the standpoint of inner development, this lunation can be a miracle of freedom from any psychic or outer circumstances that may keep each of us from fulfilling our own true path of service and of healing. The prayers below are designed to discover that miracle.

Before sharing them, let us each consider the way in which we express the need to be of service. Who or what are daily efforts designed to serve? Is our current state of consciousness serving the opportunity we have been given of spiritual development? Is there an altruistic element to our current work, or do we have some idealistic initiatives pending? Maya mentions the realignment of the military in her prediction, and the servicemen’s stories now surfacing can be taken as an archetypal sign of our power to choose who and what we serve.

In a story posted on Sunday, March 13, by TruthOut (www.truthout.org), Sean Rayment of the UK reports that for the first time a British SAS soldier has quit. The reason? “Ben Griffin… told his commander that he was no longer prepared to fight alongside American forces” who are committing “dozens of illegal acts” and seem to view “all Iraqis as 'untermenschen'—the Nazi term for races regarded as sub-human.” Only a week earlier, law teacher and one time Navy pilot Joseph W. DuRocher wrote a letter to the President, also posted on TruthOut, including the following comments, so amazingly synchronistic as to merit quoting at length:

“… I return enclosed the symbols of my years of service: the shoulder boards of my rank and my Naval Aviator's wings on moral grounds…. Until your administration, I believed it was inconceivable that the United States would ever initiate an aggressive and preemptive war against a country that posed no threat to us. Until your administration, I thought it was impossible for our nation to take hundreds of persons into custody without provable charges of any kind, and to 'disappear' them into holes like Gitmo, Abu Ghraib and Bagram. Until your administration, in my wildest legal fantasy I could not imagine a US Attorney General seeking to justify torture or a President first stating his intent to veto an anti-torture law, and then adding a 'signing statement' that he intends to ignore such law as he sees fit. I do not want these things done in my name…. to remain silent is to let you think I approve or support your actions. I do not. So, I am saddened to give up my wings and bars. They were hard won and my parents and wife were as proud as I was when I earned them over forty years ago. But I hate the torture and death you have caused more than I value their symbolism. Giving them up makes me cry for my beloved country.”

What do these two cases have to do with our spiritual work now? The Sabian symbol for the degree of the Eclipse Full Moon seems to underscore the collective message they incarnate:

"A FLAG AT HALF-MAST IN FRONT OF A PUBLIC BUILDING. The social acknowledgement of a job well done and a destiny fulfilled. This symbol implies the ability to carry any task to its ultimate fulfillment, provided the task is carried out with reference to the need of a collectivity. The end result of an individual’s service to humankind. His personal failings may be forgotten but his achievements remain.”

Are public stances like those of DuRocher and Griffin transmitting a message that can be adapted by to do a reality check on our own personal service orientation? Are we fulfilling our destiny to the collective good, through fidelity to our higher selves, as did these two brave men? Most of us are not in such a clearly service-related context as they are, yet we can all be motivated by their examples to clearer consciousness and more congruent action. The angels are here to help us and Omnipotent Mind will serve Itself with our sincere intention. Read on.

Praying by the Light of the March Eclipse Full Moon

During or after this Full Moon Portal, you may choose to set aside some moments to connect with the Spirit of True Service and the Angel of Freedom, who are very active. Light a candle, green is a great color for the prosperity of all Virgoian goals. As you light it, know in your heart that you are lighting the fire of service which burns in all brave souls, and which is now becoming brighter. You may also light incense (sandalwood is for Virgo), knowing that it is an offering for the angels which are now serving creation.

The prayer I suggest for this lunation is very powerful, if you use it during seven minutes or more. It is not a prayer of affirmation, but rather of disposition, a concentrated exercise of free will, which when directed to the higher planes will open you up to amazing help.

Archangel Michael, I ask you to dissolve any inner or outer situation which would hamper my purpose of service.

Focus your most sincere intent and attention every time you repeat words like these, which will give best results when used daily at least until the next New Moon. Close your prayers as you bless the planet, repeating for several minutes:

My sincere disposition to serve with love grows and as it grows, it connects me to the Spirit of Service in all others, surrounding the planet in victorious divine intent now.

After using these words, knowing as you do so that Divine Power can and will respond to your higher disposition, take a few moments to listen in silence to your inner self. I have received miracles through methods like this and I have no doubt anyone who applies it will, too, since each and every one of us are made of energy which responds automatically to the persistent application of our free will and creative intent. If the messages include changes in relationships, activities, lifestyle, be sure to note that information and take steps to implement it.
